WOW so you want to spend 600 watts from a distance when I could have spent 54 to 65 watts up close for the same growth, and more compact plants from a more balanced lightYou can put them under your 600w light, keep the light far enough away from them so they don't cook.
they grow under the sun, so your 600w light ain't shit compared to the sun
Use what ever light you want to use. It doesn't take a genius to figure out 90,000 lumens is more powerful than 5000 lumens. And if that's all he has to veg with I'm sure the plant will veg under that HPS sooner or later. Right?WOW so you want to spend 600 watts from a distance when I could have spent 54 to 65 watts up close for the same growth, and more compact plants from a more balanced light
thats smart
sorry not meaning to be a prick, but your disregard for an appropriate amount of lighting\watts\dollars for a handfull of seedlings screamed out for a comment. Otherwise some reader might think a 600 hps is required to raise seedlings.Use what ever light you want to use. It doesn't take a genius to figure out 90,000 lumens is more powerful than 5000 lumens. Hopefully the OP uses his cfl's as supplemental light in veg. And maybe the OP might consider root pruning to help counter stretch from the HPS.
you could of have made those suggestions to the OP instead if trying to be a little prick with me.
