Cloning: do mothers pass along age?

when you take a clone, there is no changing of the genetics m8.. that's the whole point of cloning to begin with...

think of cloning as just continuing the same plant for years and years and years as that's exactly what you're doing.. it's always going to have the same genetics as the first plant it came from as technically, it is the same plant.. if it were a human, and you started off with a blonde hair, blue eyed person, and you cloned it for years and year, you'd still end up with a blonde with blue eyes, not a brunette with brown eyes.. same thing with plants..
Without turning this into any form of argument.. which I do not want - would rather keep it debate-style.. are you saying that the UV can not alter the genetic makeup of the plant with irradiation which could cause epigenetic variations and ultimately creates a potential for phenotypic plasticity?

dude that formula you posted isn't even worth looking at when it comes to mj plants. go to the farm and look for a thread on this exact topic and you will see very knowledgeable people posting shit that confutes that theory you so gladly posted.
It doesn't? Vegetative state = 2n.. diploid. It's valid.

i'm just saying that if it played that big of a roll in things, then things like clone only strains after a year or so wouldn't be desirable, and we all know that this is not true..

you can't possibly expect me to believe that every single clone out there of say, hmm, let's say girl scout cookies as that's a hot clone only atm, comes from the same exact mother plant..
so this tells me that gsc must be a multi generation plant of pretty epic proportions, and i've never heard anyone say that their gsc wasn't as good as another's so long as they are both grown well, and are of the same cut..

but of course environmental factors will play a roll in pretty much anything.. that's not to be blamed on cloning though imo, the same thing could and does happen in seed grows.. two different people could by the same exact pack of seeds, let's say herijuana as it's pretty much considered an inbred line, so being inbred, it should be super stable and only one or maybe 2 different pheno's.. yet even though there is only one or two phenos, you can still get more genotypes, which are much more dependent on environmental factors..

Nope, wouldn't expect you to believe that whatsoever - the formula/info I posted shows that out X population, there is a very small % chance that drift may be encountered. That's the only point I was trying to make. :)

if you took the time to read through the threads you would have seen that the link you posted was most of the stuff that was talked about in the them. so your post means nothing, all you're doing is trying to sound good as if what you think supersedes what most already knows.
like i said it happens but no where at the rate you or the other dude think it does.
fact of the matter is that in plants it hardly ever happens and is a rare occurrence.

stop pretending like you're so knowledgeable and that what you say is gospel.

Their is def. no doubt that cloning a clone and so on and so on will ruin the genetics of the plant. The further away you get from the original genetics of the mother the worse the strain gets, ruining potency and growth potential. I will never clone a clone, ever. Id rather go buy clones or just start over from seed. Just my two.....
And you know for a fact that the clones you buy are not a clone from a clone from a clone from a clone from a clone from a clone..............

I think you missed the point, or are skipping over keywords. This is the bullshit that I said up there wasn't needed or required. I wanted a debate of it as I never said I was 100% accurate, nor have I claimed to be. I was also not looking for personal attacks and I won't stoop to your level in that respect.

Edit: It's ok, sometimes debates get heated.. and that's to be expected =)

I clone off the mother, then flower her and use a clone for the next mother.

How long does everyone feel I can get away w/this...indefinitely?.

Good, b/c I'd sure hate to spend my summer watering in-ground clones only to harvest something with 5% THC content.

So when you coming across the pond?...hehe...I remember the day you joined here.

Good 2 see u again.
