How Crucial is it to change water every week...

My Plants are loving their environment right now including their water and nutes mixture. They are growing fucking 5'' a day!!!! I dont want to change my water this week for this reason only. I have the perfect mixture :)

If I don't change it what could happen..... What are my risks...

slime will build up in the reservoir... also the as the water evaporates the nutrients become mroe concentrated... changing the reservoir will insure that you have the correct amount of nutrients... you can go up to 2 weeks witout changing the reservoir if the temperature isn't too warm

Cool! Thanks! My water temp is at 72 all the time. and I ad water as it evaporates to keep it at the same ppm and level in the Res. Is this ok to do as well... My roots are a little brown but they have been for a month now and nothing happens to the plants. They are the healthiest they have ever been. Just loving life, they are! :)

Ya ive never personally went more than 10 days,just paranoid. You can run successfully for months though depending on conditions,feed,knowledge...yadda yadda

me personally i change weekly. every two weeks is also. as plants start using more food you will need to top off with fresh water and nutes. just watch you levels and make your decisions based on that.

I change every 7 days and top up only as needed. My ph will start to fall off when there is an issue as well. Around mid flower I have to start topping up every 2-4 days to keep PH up and I run 100L res for 6 plants. I have let it go for 10 days but was on vacation and the plants were only in 4th week, no issues at all.

Yeah I have been changing it out every week up until now Im going to let it go a few more days I think. They are on week 6 from seed I think or something like that and are 20'' tall now and I think they are going grow sky high pretty soon. I'm super stoked they are Jack Herrer :) How long do you guys wait until you kick them into Veg 12-12...

I call total BS! You are apparently misinformed about how to check your system! For anyone out there wondering, you much top up your hydro system with your base(water). Once you have done this, you will need to take measurements! PH, Nutes, Water temp, ETC.! You will want to always top up with your base! Once topped up to the "SAME" level each day, is when you want to take measurements!(ie. temp, nute concentration, etc.)

I change out my UC setup once per grow unless I run into an unforeseen issue!

I have run my DWC/NFT/UC setups for weeks on end when everything is dialed in properly! Zero issues!

I would say you are feeding false information! Do you know what is in his water? Have you seen an analysis of it? NO!

This would be the most major oversight the majority of people on this site overlook! Water means the world to our plants for a reason! Water supply is far from consistent across our planet to say the least! After water consideration, comes environment. If people have issues after that, then they are pretty much blind IMO.

To OP: if your water temps are above 70*F, then find a way to drop them! This will help things out more than anything else! PERIOD!

youve gone off track. he said his plants are fine :wall: why is it that everything i read claims that up to 75 is not going cause you problems? yes 65/70 is optimal in terms of DO but i can tell you for nothing that my res temp is above that range just by hand and my plants are good.i dont need an expensive ec meter to tell what my plants want either. i can do that simply by looking at them and monitoring the ph. it pays to grow with your head.

here are mine at week 9. do you see any problems here?

I don't see any problems so to speak other than they look a bit small for 9 week veg my friend. Just sayin.

they were trained with tying and supercropping. that is a 70 percent sativa. its delahaze and they can out grow your space very easily if you leave them to it. those were taken a week or so back. they are lots bigger now!
