Not much going on today probably gonna water a couple of the night crew later might take a couple pics... most of the time I feel like all my time's being taken up with the grow... then I have a couple of days like yesterday and today where I don't do much and i'm just waiting on cuts to root and seedlings to pop.... just bored and don't know what the fuck to do with myself ;) Flowers starting to open on some of the flower ladies around day 10. Everyone looking completely badass as always... waiting on the dank flowers is killing me though... i'm ready for frosty flowers and good smells.

OK well maybe I was wrong about having nothing to do... I didn't get a chance to water in my super soil sunday and lucky that i didn't because i realized a day or two later that i had forgotten the P guano... finally got around to dumping the dirt out into the pond, adding the guano and remixing it, then putting it back in the trash can and watered it in good. That super soil should be ready just in time to transfer my ace of spades and selected cuts into big pots in 4-5 weeks. The aces are in my tiny airpots right now germing... i'm gonna leave them in there until about 2-3 weeks old then put'em in 1.5 gallon pots in roots weeks 3-5 and then they'll go into big pots with super soil the last 3 weeks of veg -- hoping to sex most of the aces before final transplant. Cuts only reason I'm not going big right off the bat is that I can't keep all of them... by 4-5 weeks from now they'll be in week 7 of flower for the parents and i should have a pretty good idea which are going to be my likely keepers by then.

I was able to sex the last plant (runt ChernoJill) - she is female. She is still growing sooo slow. She needs another couple of weeks at least before flower I think.

Your TimeWrecks for today - believe the next 2 are starting day 10 of flower.

14 colas of stacked flowers... can you say yielder? I expect to get 3oz minimum off this one.

Last TimeWreck into flower -- this is the one that was stunted by overwatering... look how nicely she's recovered now just by leaving her alone for over a week :) You almost can't tell there was anything wrong unless you inspect close. She will go into flower tomorrow morning.

I swore I subscribed over here before but it never pops up in my list of recent activity.

"We are siamese if you please, we are siamese if you don't please" damn disney crap. got in my head from your cat pic.

I should have an old cutting that's growing and a new cut that has a single root in the cloner. Not sure how many cuts you can take. Just got to figure out how to meet up soon. I'm a bit swamped coming up trying to get my veggie garden and project going here before it's too late to start plants.\

PROPER. Ace of Spades - 3/10 above soil, 1/10 pushing soil... after 3.5 days of getting taken out of package -- and they've never been above 72 degrees, mostly they've been in the 68-72 range, so should have a good chance of getting a high female ratio

Bout to get frosty up in this bitch.

8/10 Ace of Spades up or breaking ground... 4 have the dome off (I take the dome off when it's cleared off it's shell and spread it's leaves up to receive light - it also has to have at least some green and not yellow if the leaves are still yellow the dome stays on). I may never try the rooter method at this rate if I keep getting 100% germ with the method I have... ;) figuring the other 2 will come up over the next few hours... if they do 100% germ within 4 days at 65-72 is nothing to shake a stick at :)

10/10 aces sprouted and either above soil, or pushing through soil (only the last still not full stretched up and going)

2 each of 2 of my timewreck cuttings have rooted... no others yet but they look like they're about to... had to mist a bunch of rooters because they were going dry tonight... the cuts that have rooted look like they'll probably have enough roots to go to soil tomorrow night or monday morning maybe...

I gotta get a veg area set up by tomorrow night. Gonna have to hook up the 600w HPS as I don't really have anything else appropriate for putting this many plants under except what's in the flower room.

I finally got all the lights in the flower chamber raised. They're now as high as they're going to go. The big plants have about 1' between them and the lights the small plants (that haven't stretched yet) have 1.5-2' to the lights. I think the stretch has just about stopped on the big plants just putting on new nodes now so I think no extra steps to raise things up further will be needed -- hurray!

New week's video comin tomorrow night :)

How solid in your opinion is the correlation between the eventual sex of the plant, and the temperature you bring it up at when dealing with regular seeds?
And after you sex them, what's your criteria generally for determining which males to keep?

Nice photos. I'll keep my little cab over having to lug a bunch of plants around twice a day. Have to make sure you're there on schedule every day

I can't tell for sure without a higher resolution picture, but I'm thinking you may need to spray for cats...
Hahahaha yeah just can't seem to shake'm :)

I think it's pretty solid but not sure it's established fact... I always get around a 60-70% female ratio and I always germ under 80... I've never personally done a high temp germ to know personally if it would flip the ratio, but sub and others say this is the case - sub says he knows a guy who always germs over 80 and always gets majority males from his seed germs. I've seen articles in the past before that higher fem ratios occur with lower temps and higher N levels. I don't keep males... they die a slow, cruel death here. I'm focused on mastering growing better before I even think about making seeds. Also want to get some really crazy females that'd be worth crossing... if it's not badass enough for me to keep a cut of it I'm not gonna make seeds from it ;) Have had a bunch of really solid good plants but nothing yet that I'd say was an elite standout that I'd feel bad about losing. If I can find the phenos of ace and timewreck I'm looking for I will though :)

Yeah it gets to be a pain in the ass real quick... not something I'd want to do all year round for sure, but I can see doing one or two harvests a year on double shift as long as I'm not planning on making any trips :) It's good for me too I need a little extra exercise a day. Back was killing me the first few days of lugging those pots around but now it's no problem. It helps that I have no life and am a recluse :)

One other benefit is that in having to pick up and move the plants every day, you always know exactly which ones need water when... separated two out this morning because they were light enough they needed to be watered. I overwatered one just a tad yesterday it was looking pretty droopy after but it perked back up before daytime today so obviously not too much overwatering :) Been getting better lately mostly the plants don't even droop after I water'em and I never see drought symptoms at the time I water so I must be hitting it just right this time. I have overwatering tendancies so it's kind of an accomplishment for me to be getting better at not doing it ;)

All the ace sprouts are up, only one has a dome on still. Happy because they are only under a 32w CFL and theya re leaning to it but not stretching... they're under a window so once sun comes up that won't be an issue. Gonna check cuts in a bit guessing i'll find some more that have rooted. The wife has already expressed regret at the new batch -- 'no break?' Nope, but I once again confirmed that I'm not doing as many... it's taken some will not to pop those other 10 ;) I might still have to do another double 12/12 shift if I get a lot of good cuts and can't decide which to keep this run... but I'm gonna take a little break in between and take the wife on a weekend trip or something once I get down to one 12/12 shift again :) She's gonna need it cuz she's gonna be busy trimming -- she said last night she likes it better when it's trimming time.... mainly because we have extra money after ;)

Like I said, no life/recluse :) Nothing ever happens... my family has even moved out of town now so no unexpected stop-ins... everything's fixable though i had their schedule interrupted a few times last time I did this there are ways to work it out playing with the light schedule :) no one ever said it would be easy

I'm so twisted, earlier was watching a documentary on egyptions and the afterlife and that got me to thinking about dieing and for a long time i've wanted a natural burial, none of that embalming shit or coffins and what not. Just put me in the ground and plant a tree on me with a small marker or something... but now this morning i've realized why a tree? If anything, I should definitely be planting a cannabis tree on myself!! A huge, 200 gallon fucking tree... then they can harvest it later and have my wake at the end of the season and everyone can smoke me... but then i realized the thought of smoking cannabis grown from human remains may not get too many people excited. Would you do it?!? I mean we've almost all smoked bud grown with blood and/or bone meal, fish guts, etc... so....?

Second, yes, I did plan to make more super soil this weekend, but the truth of it is, I am going to go make supersoil because I'm just bored and I don't need to do anything with my plants... what kind of a nerd spends his free sunday time mixing dirt because they just don't have anything better to do?? This guy.

Raise your hand if you mixed over 50 gallons of super soil today!

Raise your hand if you now have 4 grades of badass soil - a kick ass seedling/cutting mix, base soil (plain roots organics), veg super soil mix (high N), and 2 different super soil mixes for flower? :hump:

All Aces out from under the dome... they need more light, come out sun!

Cuttings look great... misting appears to have been just right... rooted cuttings look like they're gonna wanna get planted tonight.

Other than mixing a couple gallons more of seedling mix later, I'm done mixing soil here. I have enough for my next full grow now... I can put all the amendments away -- yay! When this soil is done, I gotta find a place to dump it as we're moving after the next grow, just don't know where yet. It's gonna be a glorious summer... coming into harvest in may and then next harvest at the end of july :)

Original formula super soil - I already have two timewreck cuts with more than one cutting survived... I'm gonna do several original super soil vs my modified super soil mix side by side to find out which is better. Probably the original formula, but who knows :) PS -- plastic fish ponds RULE to mix amended soil in... just dump all the shit in, mix it up, bucket most of it out into a trash can and then lift the tub up and dump the last bit in.... easy peasy I mixed these in < 10 minutes each... I ended up double mixing the original SS mix as I realized I had more EWC I could add and I couldn't remember if I added humates :)
