for fish really.but fuck that get a 1/2 inch hose and stick it on your refrigerator water spout and then get a spoon and jam it inn there to hold the button down and get your water from it. its free and the hepa filter is the best filter. at the other end of the hose put your 5 gallon bucket. it takes 12 minutes to fill up.about the time it takes to take a hit.late PH2

i was talking to a friend of mine who used to grow. he told me that the tap water in certain places is not harmful to the herb, including the area i am located in. is this fact or fiction?

It depends on what country & area you live in. If your water is chlorinated, then you can leave it standing overnight and the chlorine will evaporate.

NB:
It must be an open container (obviously), so the evaporated chlorine gas can escape into the air.
I have seen people leave water in sealed containers overnight, thinking that would be ok

I never use an air stone (its the bubbly thing in aquariums btw.
it seems unnecessary. if you want to test your water for PH then pick up a water testing kit at almost anywhere that sells garden supplies. they are pretty cheap and test your water. i was amazed when i tested mine with my pool strips. it has NO chlorine at all and the ph is 6.4

I usually leave it out anyways, but if i forget i dont worry about it too much since its got no chlorine in it. i leave it out just to be safe most of the time.

The air stone puts oxygen in the water and also keeps the water from going stagnant-----It also speed up the chlorine evaporation.

You should ph your water just before use(the ph can and will rise over the coarse of 8 hours) the air-stone puts oxygen in the water----the roots need oxygen to grow and flourish.

My rule of thumb is if you don't have an air stone then let the water sit for 3 days in an open container. But, by no means is that what you have to do.
