Tap Water Question.

My rule of thumb is if you don't have an air stone then let the water sit for 3 days in an open container. But, by no means is that what you have to do.
3 days. thats way too long. just my thought. like someone said water can go stagnant, but it would be more so after 3 days. I say if you dont know anything about your water test it.

Im sure an airstone doesnt hurt and they also arent expensive, but if you dont have one its not as though you need to run out and get one or your plants will die. my entire grow has been without an airstone and ive had no ph issues or alkalinity issues. no deficiencies.

It's up to you---some people still grow bud with untreated tap water/poor soil/ and crappy nutrients and horrible growing practices---You get out of the plants what you put into them--I also understand and appreciate that some growers don't have the time/resources/ or money to do it any other way. All of my posts are geared toward giving optimal results from what you have to work with. You can grow swagggg with little buds or you can grow dank with massive weight and anything in between. It's a choice---My posts are from over 20 years of growing/breeding/ and smoking the plant we all love. As I've posted before---Take any information I post and use it as you wish or mentally toss what you don't like or agree with. I wish you all the best in your grows...

I am going to post some pics of my current grow utilizing all of the practices that have worked for me. As soon as I get the camera set-up.

I never use an air stone (its the bubbly thing in aquariums btw.
it seems unnecessary. if you want to test your water for PH then pick up a water testing kit at almost anywhere that sells garden supplies. they are pretty cheap and test your water. i was amazed when i tested mine with my pool strips. it has NO chlorine at all and the ph is 6.4

I usually leave it out anyways, but if i forget i dont worry about it too much since its got no chlorine in it. i leave it out just to be safe most of the time.
You can get some drops that removes chlorine from the water, it is also used for fish aquariums.

That is just how I was taught when I started, but my water out of tap isn't really the cleanest. Also, when you say you don't use an airstone..does that mean you don't have one in your res either?
