He is not the most attractive man in the world and he was in L.O.V.E. I'm not gay but I think I would have done her. Gotta give him one for being faithful. ~
Rocker Alice Cooper once ignored the advances of Raquel Welch, according to a memoir by guitarist Dick Wagner.
Wagner and Cooper were in Miami in 1976 for Super Bowl weekend, and Welch was performing at the Fontainebleau, according to the book, Not Only Women Bleed: Vignettes from the Heart of a Rock Musician.
We were invited up to her suite, Wagner wrote. I sensed something was going on ... at least in Raquels mind. Wagner says he advised the Coop, You gotta do it at least one time for all us horny bastards in the world. But Alice had a propensity towards being faithful to his girlfriend, then-19-year-old Sheryl Goddard, who was dancing on his tour. Wagner says Cooper was crazy not to allow himself to be seduced.
When the men played golf at the Doral Country Club the next day, Welch turned up and asked Cooper, Can I be your caddy? Please ... Cooper, made a rather boisterous exit . . . to the clubhouse. Cooper and Goddard married, and they're still together.
Actress Welch became a household name in the 1960s, performing in TV shows and films, but her figure gained worldwide attention when she appeared in a skimpy prehistoric outfit in "One Million Years B.C." in 1966.
