For everyone's edification weed is a dicot (2 cotyledons), corn and everything else in the grass family is a monocot (1 cotyledon). With monocots the cotyledon never emerges and is never seen above ground.

as i said, earlier when it first pops up, corn looks like the cotyledons on the op's plant, but yeah youre right the corn cotyledons come in singles, and are rarely seen.
however, the first signs of successful maize sprouting look jut as described, two long blades opposite each other on a thin stalk. if he snipped off the true leaves and left the cotyledons, took another photo and posted it, i would fucking swear that shit was a corn sprout.
i dont think anybody has said that the OP's shit is actually corn, cuz the true leaves are definitely not a grass, but they also dont look like any "Grass" (as in dope) i ever seen. needles to say im totally interested...
