Oh, no adding soil won't. Just pop out the plant and add it to the bottom. The only reason to let tap water sit out is too allow chlorine to evaperate, but most tap water doesn't have enough to effect your grow.

It is best to let it sit out for 24 hours to dissipate most of the chlorine. Not sure if the amount in tap water will actually kill the soils beneficial bacteria, but better safe than sorry.

As to the soil, you are fine as long as you don't bury the plant :).

You could also use some tap water conditioner. It's used in aquiriums to rid the water of chlorine. Just be sure to buy one without the slime replenish.

No, it's actually kind of funny as I'm trying it out for the first time myself this grow. Did you order from an Ebay member named trugreensupply by any chance?

Well I'm still in veg. so not much to report, but it's working very well. I asked about the Ebay order because that's who I ordered from and I also got 8 oz. bottles.
