Oh, no adding soil won't. Just pop out the plant and add it to the bottom. The only reason to let tap water sit out is too allow chlorine to evaperate, but most tap water doesn't have enough to effect your grow.

It is best to let it sit out for 24 hours to dissipate most of the chlorine. Not sure if the amount in tap water will actually kill the soils beneficial bacteria, but better safe than sorry.

As to the soil, you are fine as long as you don't bury the plant .

You could also use some tap water conditioner. It's used in aquiriums to rid the water of chlorine. Just be sure to buy one without the slime replenish.

okay i put more soil on top cut half inch off of cup and watered her with tap water thats been out for 2 days shes good to go. a

yes i ordered 8 ounces off ebay iguana juice grow. why you heard bad things? and also i have her on a 18 on 6 off light cycle does that sound right?

Yes, I use 18/6 veg. and 12/12 bloom.
