Kellogg Patio plus?

Looked like the best / most efficient alternative, and now I find out homedepot, lowes, walmart, ebay doesn't have it... Any1 know where I can buy/order in new York? or what's something that's just about the same?

Alternative to what? My local Home Depot carries Kellogg for around $8/1.5cf. Stuff is alright but definitely needs additional amending to make it worth it. I'd go with sunshine mix #4 or pro-mix.

Patio Plus is west coast only...There is a thread about this that was started a few days ago...

kalo...my HD carries Patio+ for 4.95 for 1.5 cu. feet...are you sure you aren't thinking of the 3 cu. foot Kellogg garden soil? Those are 8 bucks...

I think you're over complicating this for yourself.

Forget about the brand and look at the ingredients instead. I'd be on the lookout for ingredients such as: forest humus, worm castings, composted chicken manure, bone meal, oyster shell, peat moss, perlite...I think that's what was in some good stuff I picked up recently. You should be able to get something at home depot or Lowes...failing that, hit up a nursery and ask them what they have that's good.

Extra perlite and worm castings are worthwhile additives as well.
