Help finding a couple items, USA stores

Hi,

I'm working on my first grow, It's going along great but, there are a couple of DIY items I cant find, (mostly because I don't know what they are :dumbass: ).

1. Live Yeast
a. What part of the store would I find it in? I didn't see it in the baking section
b. What type of packaging? box, bag etc.. (brand names)
c. is it a refridgerated product?

2. Activated Charcoal "pieces" ...
I have no Idea what the real use of this is for (some type of air filter I guess) I know it's supposed to be avilable in pet stores so I looked in the pets departments too.
a. What department, (wal-mart, target etc.) would I look in, or should I just find a pet store. Out of the only 3 pet stores I know of and can get too, 2 small ones closed, the big one burnt down.
b. What IS the real use of this product?

3. PH up/down, Pool supplies? I couldn't find it specifically for plants, the pool supplies are in huge boxes and look pretty nasty, I'd rather use vinager and baking soda.

I think I found everything else for now.

YEAST-GROCERY STORE, BAKING SECTION, no it is a dried product that comes in small packs.
Activated charcoal is is the aquarium section of walmart, ph up and down can also be found at the aquarium section.

the yeast should be close to the flower & sugar in the GROCERY store. if you can't find it just ask someone that works there

so the real use for activated charcoal is to filter water? I think I might have seen some at wal-mart then, not sure.

After I have a successful grow (and the evidence is gone) I'll post my grow diary. My box, if successful, is one that is (suprisingly) unique and almost perfect stealth. Just keep reading around here and you'll figure something out.
Ask any questions you may have by starting your own threads and you'll do fine. There is a very good box made out of large storage bins, In this section of the board I think??? It's still going to cost at least $100 - $150 overall to build a (good and stealthy) basic box w/ odor control.

The only reason I didn't ask someone (yes, at the grocery store, sorry) I don't know anything about yeast and couldn't come up with any answers if they asked what I was using it for. ditto for the other products too.

cooking. thats what its used for. they wouldnt ask you anything. theyd just show you where it is. and if they did I'd be like "Im fucking cooking. mind your own fucking business and get back to work!"

you can find PH supplies in the aquarium section as well as the activated charcoal!

yeast is used mostly for making bread. if they ask tell them you got a bread makin machine for your birthdayand you want to try it out. the charcoal you just got a fish tank from a freind. its used in the air filter of the tank.
