What medium are you using?

IMO this is a question that needs answering first before an answer can be given.

Rockwool?
Hydroton?
Coco?
Soil?
Peat?
Vermiculite?
Etc?

I leave mine running 24x 7,till they get up a little bit & then I move them to dwc,but I have run the top feed through the whole grow.

Ah I might as well stick with the 15mins every hour so it also gives the roots some time to dry, I also am not feeding when the lights are out. Didnt really see the need to feed during light out period.

My timer I have, how many mins is each pin that I push down>?

For some reason you want the roots to dry? In hydro no less. Let the water drip 24/7 if you want less water install a valve to control the flow. Plants use nutrients even when the lights are off. Good luck.

Let the roots dry out?

Are you growing hydro? Like in a bucket with a net pot?
