Coma's first DWC! Bagseed, 400w MH.

Looks awesome, I just went and bought a 5 gallon bucket and getting it set up for my first DWC! Will do it on my next go after my soil run finishes. I am going to do one plant under the same light you have....only issue is I grow in the spare bedroom closet and my temps average around 80 with lights on. I am worried my res temps will be hard to maintain around 70 ;( going to run some experiments now. How are you doing maintaining your res temps? I topped on my current soil grow and during stretch period put a net over and trained my larger shoots and opened the canopy so the smaller guys could catch up....my last hydro run (ebb flow) I grew green crack it and it would not stop growing I had some issues with it getting to close to the light. Literally a few inches and although the heat wasn't an issue I had some over saturation. How far are your plants from the light now?

I loved the results I got during veg with my 400MH, I trust you will too, my biggest concern is seeing how this baby flowers, as it's the first time i've used only an MH for flower.

I keep my res temps down by adding frozen water bottles, when i need it, but due to my grow location it stays around 68 anyways, so I never need much cooling.

My plants now are about 5 inches from the light, because heat isnt an issue they can stretch to 3 inches below. Since I strapped em all down though, i was able to move my light down 6-7 inches to allow for more room to raise it again (if I need to)

ya my girls really suprised me with their growth, since it was basically 12/12 from seed.

So hey everyone, been a little while since I popped an update up, so I figured i'd throw a few pics and info up.

The pics I show are from about 3 days ago. I had a huge mishap in my grow room last night, so i'll start with that.

I turn my lights OFF at 10:30pm every night, then on again at 10:30am every morning. Last night, I was WAYYYY too high, and at 10:22 I went into my grow room, to do a little work, and check my clones. Then I figured I would turn off my light, and get some sleep. I guess since I was so high, I went into my grow room, checked my clones, made sure my girls were straight, then just left without hitting my light.

I got up at 10:30am to go turn them on, and they were STILL on. So, NOW i'm leaving them on until 10:30pm, to get them back on schedule, but I know that will mean they have to be on for 36 hours straight, which is NOT good, but there isn't much I can do about it now.

On a lighter note, as previously stated here are some pics from a few days ago, and I THINK i'm about done with the stretch, today would be day 22 since pistils. So the pics are from day 20 maybe, i'm not sure but the earlier posts on this thread should be able to clear that up.



I hope my stupid light fail wont effect them TOO much, either way they are looking good, and feelin good.

A way better way to salvage this would be to leave the lights off till the next time they would have come on.... so like... a long long period of dark.... What you're doing could easily start the stretch all over again, and probably will.... Hard to salvage such a long period of light, even the way I describe.

They will be alright, I have done this more than a few times, it might have affected my yield in the end, who's to really say. My plants are absolute growing beasties though, so couldn't have done much damage. I have a couple autos in my room with the photoperiods running 12/12, because my tents aren't showing up until tomorrow, and I am perfectly happy with the size of colas they are showing(they are about 2-3 weeks from finish). Now if I posted that I had autos under 12/12, there would be all kinds of people popping up acting like I am comitting murder on my autos, but they are actually getting more enormous everyday. Cannibus is a very hardy plant for the most part, worrying about it costing you a few grams because of your mess up is just not really the thing to worry about in the big picture, just be happy with how they come out, everything is a learning experience.

Maybe throw a screen on top and scrog/ train to keep them from growing to your light?

definately, I 200% second that idea. Your plants are still small enough that it will work. I had the same problem in one of my rooms right now, I vegged too long and now I have 5 foot plants that are barely fitting in that room, have my lights all the way to the ceiling and gonna have to move them to a different room with higher clearance, since they are only going on their 3rd week flower. Definately get some netting and train them now, because the larger and more sturdy they get, it will be really hard to get the branches to go anywhere but up.

Been awhile guys, sorry for the hiatus, been very tired since the new job. starting to get more used to it tho, so I think i'm back.

Ladies are doing GREAT, didnt have any problems with my light mishap a few weeks ago (thanks weed god)

Although it did give me quite a scare, im sensitive about my girls.

So after a little hiatus here is my status.

Day 44:

Temp: 79
PH: 6.0

You can see the difference in seeds the most now, as these are all bagseed from a mix of good bags, the flowering time seems shorter for some and longer for others, which is fine, it isn't off by much for each plant, maybe a week or so, which will give me on very amber plant and 2 perfect ones, in terms of my trichrome color.

Here is a few shots of my girl that looks like she can be done in 2 weeks. My other 2 look like they got about 3:

What do you guys think?

Hey everyone, one of my girls has been looking done for the past 3-4 days, and I figured I'd chop her to give my other 2 plants as much light as I can.

I think it's about 47 days from pistils, and I have about 5% amber trichs. I wanted to harvest her a little early, and let my other plants go a little longer, they are a little bigger than this girl too.

My wet weight of this one AFTER TRIMMING was: 98gs

So worst case scenario i'm probably looking at maybe 20-22 gs from her. Which I can't complain about. It was my first DWC with some sketchy bagseed, and this is my smallest

My roots got HELLA tangled, which I was warned about early in my grow, so I had to leave her root system in the Res FOR NOW:

I hung all the ones with stems long enough to hang, in a dark, old homemade growbox converted from an old bookshelf. (No pics)

The others I placed in the container shown, lined with paper towels and also placed in my dark box.

Temp of the dark box is 72-76, a little warmer than I'd like, but my rh is around 44% which is close to where it should be. I have a small fan blowing around the holes in the dark-box but not directly on the buds.

What do you guys think?
