Energy drinks especially so ... just even google the first 5 ingredients in each sub-section (normally have a medical and non) ... wow, can`t believe they market that stuff to kids, haha. Recieved and replied Hound :)

Well today i'm going to build my first homemade grow light/reflector with said materials yesterday! I'll be posting up pics of it when it's finished!i'm thinking of making one every week. add 100w of cfl light every weekend sounds like a tasty deal to me!

good man cloudy, you will never look back from here in, it simple to make and you can add to it as and when you need to...

i used one of them old voteing posters the white plastic ones they make temp road signs from, just so as i wouldn`t have to earth it or that, so how are you going to build yours? you drilling holes and feeding cable through the tin? if so be careful not to let the wires touch the lid...

will toss up few pics of how mine turned out, there not pretty but they work a treat...

did you fit the bulb? as in will they fitt against the tin and across the tin, i ask as my cfls are pretty big... also you know that things going to get hot, if you can set up your circ fan so as it blows across it to cool it, depending on your bulb heat of course...

tidy work tho, keep it comeing...

you know theres no need for the 4 plugs you can wire them all together on the one plug, and its not a fire risk or anything, max load at 250w is like 3 amps at the fuse...

I intend on doing that. hence why the adaptor is only taped onto it. but i lacked the time/knowledge today. on monday i'll rectify the situation!

Yep necessity is the mother of invention, the recommended maximum loading on a 13A socket is 2KW so technically you could put 80 23W CFL bulbs in parallel, supplied by a 2,5mm flexible cord, or you could wire 120 23W CFL;s if you wire them in a ring circuit. PS Cloudy neat job mate, but seriously, I hope you have earthed the reflector ? if not then as a matter of urgency get it done.
