pressed pictures to come once it is fully dry, thank you frenchy your opinion is the sole reason for my passion, i thought heres a guy with experience and a real passion, science and technicality aside. thanks again frenchy il post pics in a few days.

Just watched the vids again. I can tell you love your job...HASH! Dank you for sharing with riu!

Spun some IWE of Elf Snack way long day (too long as I was out of town, doh)! I will be mixing .4g of 38 micron and .6g of 70 micron for my first hand press experience tomorrow out in the NM sun. Can't wait to taste and dab it vs. the separated stuff =]

Been keeping busy in the hash making dept. ever since this wonderful thread and TC's great videos came to life :)

I am now working with an unknown Kush hybrid which is yielding an amazing resin with lots of amazing texture. The smells after pressing are to die for...
Had a great time shaping and making a cannoli for curing! Frenchy once again thank you with a giant hug :peace:

i would love to stsrt making some full melt bubble again. unfortunately i feel like my bho is more potent. and although its not the best philosophy, its more time efficient for me to take 3 or 4 hours and make 1/4lb. of wax. it would take me days to make 1/4 lb of full melt bubble. i sure do miss that bubble hash flavor, though. hey frenchy, what micron bag brings you the most full melt?

Frenchy - Do you think I could put the trichomes in a seal-a-meal boil bag and put it in boiling water to get the proper melt and then remove it from the water, press it, and repeat?

Quick ? Frenchy...I know its not first choice to sift buds for resin but if ur outta trim hey...what to do?....ha....so should I..A. just throw some buds in the box n shake to get some resin sifted?...B. chop up buds w scissors and sift....or C. Grind up in a grinder and sift.....ive got quite a few popcorn buds I can spare and just wanna get the best return possible w what I have.

I know, more potent (so you think/say), more money, less work. Definitely not the best philosophy but who am I to throw the first stone. I totally understand the position and I am not against BHO per se, but I would not smoke it on a daily basis and I will NEVER make it. My Hashish score in the mid 60 to high 70 % on the THC level and I would blow your mind with my terpenes count, plenty strong medicine for most.
I do not choose my bags looking for what you call full melt, that's for the eyes which is fine, I am all for the show but I prefer the smell and taste to the way it looks when it burns if you see what I mean. My 73 microns bag is my main one and I use also 45. Check the video my friend and you will have all the details.

It is not my first choice but it's better than not having Hash
1) Do not break your buds, shake them ultra gentle = little Hash and the flowers good to smoke
2) Same do not break your buds, shake ultra gentle. Now "open" them up nice and easy and again shake gently = more hash and smokable flowers
3) Same do not break your buds, shake ultra gentle. Now "break them up not really nice anymore and again shake gently = more hash no more descent flowers to smoke
DO NOT grind please!!!

It would work to get the temperature but I do not know about the plastic heated in this way and what it could release. I would love to find another solution for my pressing than plastic bag, even special heavy duty freezer bags.
So to be frank I would not recommend.

The changes are so dramatic so fast because I pressed a little earlier than I would normally do and I had a level of humidity a little higher than I normally play with

The texture is changing as well as the color without altering my terpenes as far as I can judge without a lab test.
Like I say I do not recommend to play around with humidity but I am giving you a full proof way to fight potential mold in your hash. If you see the texture changing in the following week you will know that you had some humidity left when you pressed.
Curing is an important part of the final quality, as much as for flowers or dam close.

Thanks for confirming this for me Frenchy. I've been of this belief for a long time, but never had proof. Mostly because I never had the quantity to cure for the necessary time, but also due to the lack of information even touching on curing hash. It's not a frequently discussed topic it seems. However, this outdoor season should definitely provide me with enough hash to experiment with curing for the first time.

I may be silent but I'm still here. Rocking videos Frenchy/TC. I've been keeping notes and can't wait to apply them in a few weeks when my next harvest comes in!

I'll post up some pictures of the results for you.

The lack of information on curing ice water hash may come from the fact that I made it up when I started to collect my trichomes that way, just to have the certitude of a mold proof medicine. I have never talked to anybody doing it yet but that does not mean that I was the first. To much history in hash making to break new ground.

Maybe not new ground but definitely good ground. No info on curing high quality IWE due to it being enjoyed so fast by the lucky few growers who take the time to make it. Danks for the worldly hash education Frenchy! I learn something every read on this thread =]

Thanks for the kind words Frenchy. I am having a blast.

I am looking forward to watching the texture of the hash as it cures and if it goes "waxy" or not. I am in Colorado where we have VERY low humidity so things generally stay on the drier side...but I will watch for changes in the hash as it cures. Now the tough part will be trying not to consume it too early :)
