Flushing is the age old growers argument. I flush simply because it makes me feel better. In truth, during the last couple weeks the plant will hardly take up any nutrients at all, mainly sugars during the last bit of ripening. So if your pumping ferts the last bit of your grow it's pretty much a waste of money. IMO smell and taste is almost soley dependent on drying and curing.

I've grown tomatoes, peppers and lettuce hydroponically with GH nutes. Never has any vegetable I've grown tasted chemically, why would it make weed taste that way then? It's alot of mind over matter, if you think that it is going to taste wrong, chances are it will.

I cut it off from a lower branch, at week 7, at a 45 degree angle, sliced it up the middle from the cut for about a half inch, and stuck it deep into a peat pot. watered and placed on top of my cfl reflector (some of the time) with a cut open 2 litre bottle for a ghetto humidity dome! (again only for some of the time.) and bless its heart it rooted after 2 weeks all on its own. the leaves are a bit yellow so I repotted it. I assume it used it's nitrogen stored in the leaves as food to grow the roots... so happy it rooted! it was a last resort! I didn't want to lose the first plant I ever grew!!

Peace man. Didn't mean for it to sound like I was questioning you. Was just relating my experience with chem ferts.

Ya I know what you mean there, I've had some that has a peppery taste and burn. I have noticed that my bud with a 7-10 day flush burns with a white ash versus my other hydro buddy who doesn't flush whose burns with a somewhat black ash. My other bud uses pro-mix and Roots Organics and doesn't flush but no black ash with his. We have both grown out the same trainwreck and my hydro tasted better than his, but mine was carefully cured for a month and his was just bagged when dry. I'm sure if dried and cured the same time his would taste as good or better. Alot of the bad bud out there is produced commercially by people who just want to push product out as fast as possible IME.

theres tonnes of great bud made into aa cause its not cured or cured wrong. thats why your hydro trainwreck was better.

i flush cause its worth it. i cure properly cause its worth it

she looked perfectly fine this morning. but now. not so much. leaves a little droopy but the rest are fine. some leaves are also curling down and inward slightly. like an nute overdose.. even though that can't be right!

We know I'm not a professional, but perhaps staking them upright will help as a temporary fix. Really feeling the sense of urgency here. Hope some more knowledgeable eyes are able to see this and help you.
