Fist LED grow

Looks like you're going to get a good harvest out of it, and hopefully a few more as well. Just look at it like this: that is that much less weed you do not have to buy.

Not sure what weed cost in your area, but it is $400 an oz here, and it is sketchy more times than not.

when I buy I mostly buy hash and it cost 5-15$ a gram, depending on quality and of course how much you buy

roughly there is 4 grades and the cheapest quality is not wort it IMO dry hard hash you can keep smoking until you get a headache, and the most expensive is as soft as clay and really sticky, nice stuff but really strong for a everyday smoke, most common is Moroccan or indian (kashmir) and you get like 10g for 100$

we can also get MJ but cost is like the same, and I rarely see any of good quality, just small unmature Bud`s IMO , them who grow it do it purly for profit and it shows :( the hash is importer and quality is always in top if you know your dealer

Ooh yea I do have a few pics

my 20 years old mercum bong head :D

some Moroccan and some kashmir about 5g of each =500 dkk = 92$ or so

I have! I like to call them 'white caps'. The bleaching is caused by the really intense deep red light (660nm). If you can, look at them under a scope. You will see that they are clusters of tightly packed trichomes. They smoke like super fine hash. Truly connoisseur grade.:eyesmoke:

I'm not trying to start a fight or anything, but I find it hard to believe that it is too connoisseur or people would all be bleaching out their plants bro. If it is awesome and all please people speak up about it. I've never had it happen and I hope it doesn't. Sorry to hear about that Prosperian, if it's better please give the heads up on that. Peace out.

I can only speak from personal experience as far as the goodness of the whitecaps goes. If I had not tried it I probably would doubt it too. Under the scope its all trichomes and no chrolohpyll which makes for a pretty nice smoking experience. I actually don't get them much these days because I see local bleaching as a sign of uneven light intensity. With a light mover I can still keep the LED panel within a few inches of the canopy while spreading that intensity to the entire canopy. Yield is more important than white caps but that doesn't mean I don't absolutely love those chunks of pure trichs!

I'm not sure mine is bleaching.... I raised the light up to a foot or so and it kept coming in white. And yeah, they do look like solid trichomes up close.

make sense, as trichomes is the plant`s protecting against the Sun`s damaging light waves

doing the math, I almost paid twice the money then :( and in the end I do have a light that works for me and a lesson learned
Man. hate losing money, even when it's someone else's money. When I can pick up the A51 like fixture at $300 I will pull the trigger. Until then, I will sit tight and let the market get more competitive. Two things will happen, prices will go down and quality will go up. Guess I will be waiting a while.

I can buy your used one when you upgrade . Let's see, you paid twice what it's worth so 50% off, then it's used so another 50% off. Yup free, I can do that. :-D

lol yea, well I did get it customized and the shipping was free, plus the fact that it did slip ;) under the radar of customs, so all in all I might have paid 30% more then if I had ordered directly from em, hope the warranty is worth them +150$

Im just really happy Im not the owner of a expensive Red/blue 200x1W fixture, like the one I looked at a year ago when I had to settle for the 600W HPS and some T5s
so yea, they will only get better the longer you wait, cheaper I dunno

and no you cant buy it, if I buy a A-51 of another one directly from cidly I intend to run it alone side the other to cover one square meter perfectly, right now Im debating with myself if its going to be that, or maybe another option, a light mover, as I did think about to begin with, and since I did experience light bleach it might be a better option, can get one with out tax from the UK for around 150$ that with a the few CFLs I have might be enough to cover a plant more ;)

Light movers are ok and all, but it always seems plants under them are lacking. I don't even know exactly what I mean by that, but they don't look as happy as say plants under constant light that is less intense. If I had to choose between a 1000W hps on a light mover or two 400W hps I would go with the two 400W personally. I just think the more constant but less intense light would be more appealling to the plants. I might be wrong as I'm going on witnessed results but that's just what I would do anyways. Why did you say you had to settle for a 600W hps and T5's, do you not like that set-up or did you just really want the led fixture that bad? I have a Lumatek 600W dimmable digi ballast and I just picked up a Sunleaves Pioneer VIII and I have to say I really like my 600W ballast and the T5 fixture just kicks butt. The best thing about the 600W is that if I run tight on space I can throw a mh bulb in it and problem fixed, and being a lower wattage ballast with an in-line 6 inch fan exhausting my hood I can get that sucker nice and close and get some good penetration to lower parts of the plant and end up with some nice dense flowers encompassing the entire grow. I'm also enjoying the new T5 fixture for the low heat and great light dispersal. I can almost just sit the thing on top of my girls like a hat as long as I have an oscilating fan going with some fresh air coming in. I was just running a 400W mh in my ballast and they were happy enough, but now under the extra lumens and the bonus of almost no heat they're really just exploding. I worked them and cleaned them out some yesterday, then beat them and left them bent over. They picked themselves up in record time and couldn't have looked better. I'm not drilling you or anything like that I was just wondering if you think your led is that much better. If it is maybe I need to be more serious about socking money away for one. Keep up the killer work. Peace out.

Ever see the cartoon of a female skeleton (has sun hat on, and purse by her side) sitting on a park bench with a sign saying "Waiting for Mr Right"?

and yea I really wanted the LEDs from the start, like the less power used but most important, I love the little heat it make, I have no option for a AC so with the 600W I would have like 4 months a year where I really couldn't grow or would have to high temperatures

and the screen is there to spread out the plant/separated it and to keep a nice even canopy, plus supporting the Bud`s

BTW

been naughty to day :D

found a nice little side shoot on the Big plant and couldn't resist a early sample (might have something to do with Im out of smoke)

and Im surprised, Bud was the size of a big walnut, and I was thinking 2 grams and 1/2 once quick dried, but no 4 grams and +1 gram dried, so compact and full of resin and no seed`s :D

not mature thats for sure :D but still gave me a nice little high, cleaned the house for two hours :D
affraid I might take a few more over the next week until harvest, but it atleast mean I don't have to touch the nice pheno ;)

Wow ok. I guess I should get on saving faster for a nice led. I really don't have heat issues or can deal with them efficiently enough, but I would like to have to not deal with it at all. I'm sorry to just put you on the spot like that I was just curious buddy. If I were you I would keep up with the SCRog, it's far from silly or whatever that goofy guy said. I'm sure you know that. Your plants are resin monsters man, they look so nice, and as far as the sample it can be so hard to resist sometimes. Especially when you're out and you have some girls like that staring at you. I made a wish list on Attitude and put L.S.D. on it. I think I will be happy when I pick it up in the future. Peace out.

no problem, when I started to look in to growing (indoors) I really liked the LEDs, what I did`t like was the price tag and all them bad reviews, so I decided not even to bother getting the money for one, as I was thinking it was better to stick to what was proven to work, specially when I couldn't get anywhere near a quality LED fixture, but I did continue to look at em and saw some improvements over the year and once I had the extra cash I had no doubt, and just in time for summer, I have ambi temps on 76-85F Im sure that would have been +85F with the 600W atleast on the hot day`s

and yes I like the screen makes me able to spread the side shoot`s out so the lower bud site`s get closer to the light and get a "clear" access to the light so to speak

and yes LSD is a resin monster, its no joke they write 24% THC that and the compactness of the Bud`s is what make this a great strain IMO

and it is hard to resist, but who cares, its better then to drive 30 miles and pay 100$ and maybe get busted, or sit here and hunger :D
and only reason why is Bc. of the gab from the HPS grow, once I harvest the big one I will have another one even bigger ready to go in there so should be able to keep up in the future

It's all about keeping it as perpetual as possible I.M.O. I try to keep something going and now that I have my veg spot back I can do this again. I really enjoy your thread, good job man. Peace out.

Bud`s on the nice Pheno keep swelling up :D

DSC01912.jpgDSC01915.jpg

Im almost in the believe that it will yield better then the big/older plant ?

and had to be naughty agin to day :D tho a smaller low shaded Bud

DSC01919.jpg

a bit smaller and a bit less compact then the one from yesterday, but still look ok, and sooo sticky and smelly

DSC01922.jpgDSC01923.jpgDSC01924.jpgDSC01925.jpg

2 grams wet, so 1/2 dry Im sure, but if the shaded "popcorn" Buds is this compact I cant wait for them top Buds :weed:

will smoke it in 10 minutes ;)

Ooh yea and my Hempy Bucket seems so healthy now :)
and this is with out a PH or Ecc pen/test kit or Perlite, just normal tap water, some flora duo (bloom/micro) and a bit H2O2 in clay peplets
