Weed is very hard to grow

Light degrades THC as well. So don't dry it any of the ways you know or heard on this thread. Cut plant down. Hang dry for 3-4 days indoors in a dark cool room. Cut buds off an place into jars for curing when stems are about to snap and not break. It should take around 4 weeks once buds are in jars for the cure to be really effective. Make sure you open the lids to the jars for a bit each day until buds get down to around 60% RH

Imo just step back smoke one and do some research, some plants require a diffrent balance of nutes to get the most out of them, its all about trial and error and kowing how to read your plants.
and fox farm is a good nute. nothing wrong with it at all, I used it on my first grow and had great results. Granted im not using fox farm now but still a good product.
now for the biggest issue you are probaly having is drying in the oven BAD IDEA! kills the thc content and it will taste like shit and be harsh. completely destroys what you worked so hard for, you have to let it air dry at least. Now if you have the time after letting it air dry what i do is i jar them and open the jars twice a day and move the buds around untill my hygrometer is at 60% then i consider it good to go.
here is a cheep meter

and this is a good curing method and fast

Good luck and keep trying take your time and reap the rewards in the end

Just finished my 5th grow with four plants (WW, Haze, AK, Kush) and they all turned out nothing. I thought the WW would pack some hit cause it looks like it's growing some amber triches (others did not). I tried some last night and there was nothing. (WW is well into flowering and I'll probably toss it.) I have to go back to pure indica to try something easier. So frustrating. They are so sensitive to every little thing. And I have to try some tea to develop a very good root system. Used foxfarm nutrients and organic soil.

LOL, see there are already two more posters talking about curing techniques and THC degrades in light and blah blah blah blah blah. Growing weed is as simple as anything gets. Curing= drying and the sun does not 'degrade' THC unless you let it dry it to dust. But if you look at it like that then you could say the Sun degrades EVERYTHING. The Sun also creates THC and life, then turns it to dust. DON'T READ ANYMORE POSTS. GO get a simple book on growing house plants. People on here have read Jorge Cervantes book too many times but have never even grown a tomato plant
Imp man. Can you post a link to your harvests. I bet they were not as good as my last one. Every person told me that it was the most potent weed they ever smoked. You are just uneducated. Don't pollute the minds of new growers because you are not strong enough to learn more.

When testing (and drying first) what temps are best for drying? I used mine in oven at 170 deg. for 40 minutes. Does temp need to be lower?

oven is not that good enough,

you know what, grilling is better, a chance to have faster results, when caught in fire it turns immediately into smoke!

Throw away your Foxfarm soil and whatever snake oil nutrients you bought. Go to walmart and buy the cheapest bag of potting soil they have, then get a 3 $ bottle of miracle grow. Then throw away whatever weed grow book you have and remember hard back to kindergarden when you grew that bean sprout in a cup. the teacher explained you need light, soil, and water to grow the plant. You have been brainwashed and taken advantage of by a bullshit 'weed growing' industry that has 0 accountability. Get a book on 'house plant' care. and you will be on your way. dry your weed in the sun and forget any weird curing tech people tell you.

Weed is not hard to grow... it's hardy as fuck. All you need is enough light, enough water, enough nutrients. Bada bing bada boom you have ounces of quality sticky icky. Sounds like there is something wrong with your setup or you are harming your plants in some way.

This is the worst fucking advice I have ever seen someone give. Think before you type...fuck sakes. Foxfarm is the business, used it for years and so have many people I know. This dude cant even work a fucking computer its 2013...Anyone who is going to tell you to NOT listen to other people and just listen to them is an idiot imo. Please show me pictures of your HOUSEPLANT grows. That shit you are feeding you plants is not the way to go, and if read correctly I seen somewhere that you dropped bud off to a dispense? I hope u didnt use that shit for your so called "medical grade" HOUSEPLANT bud, because that is NOT organic douchenut. Know your facts before you speak cumquat

"dry your weed in the sun and forget any weird curing tech people tell you."

You have got to be kidding me right? Like, you are joking correct...this is the most ignorant thing I've seen you say. "weird" curing technique...? You mean what has been used for decades and proven to be the best way? Throw away your weed book, and get a houseplant book....BWAHHAHAHHAHAHAHAHHAAH thats all i can fucking say...im done with you. Please ban this guy...

Oh and you guys are right, its not hard to grow...ITS HARD TO GROW PROPERLY!!!

You know, he's exactley right, you don't need all that stuff to grow good weed. Basics first, then advance. Don't understand why people think you can't grow weed without having your growroom look like a lab. Just because you use foxfarm, along with a lot of others, doesn't mean it's the shit. It means a plant will grow in it like in any other soil. Yes, your yields will get better when you start advancing in knowledge and learn how to ph properly, correct soil mixes, feed correctly, etc. But it is a total myth that you can't grow good quality weed without all the fancy stuff. In my opinion, you're the one giving bad advice, getting a noob in over his head before he has the basics down. I agree a good grow book can help, but a book on growing houseplants would also work.
Every plant needs the same thing to grow, nothing special about weed. I plant a few plant's in my garden every year, treat them exactly the same as plant's in the garden, and I get nice plant's with killer smoke just like everyone else. It's not hard to grow, and it's not hard to grow properly. Growing properly means you made it to harvest with a nice plant that produced some good smoke. Because it's not a monster does not mean it was not grown properly. I bet you Vegas, are not as muscle bound as say The Rock, or some huge muscle builder. Does that mean you are unhealthy and should be put down, or that you are a strong healthy person, that just doesn't eat, workout and put into your body what it take for them to have that body. Same dif with weed, you can have strong healthy plant's with good basic growing, or monster plant's with advance growing techniques. It's not rocket surgery.:bigjoint:

I hear napalm dries an entire plant in 0.5 seconds but leaves a very harsh finish particularly when smoked in joints.

He didn't say he dried his weed in an oven. He was talking about when testing a bud. That is why he said when testing.

obviously we interpret it differently.
