Who here plays guitar everyday and doesnt like to play other peoples music?

I just make new sounds and lyrics for myself kinda like freestyle ya know, I think it keeps you creative but i got to say sometimes i put together some good songs

Yup.....here's my brand new Larrivee D-05 that just arrived yesterday! I mainly use alternate tunings so typically all the songs are my own.

Well, I play bass and just turn on some new rhythm percussion track I just found, and tear into, f-board.

Try to build a groove and then move thu some various chord change, I groked over the years.

Then....slow it down, make a ballad... When I listen to others, I'm transposing the licks, singing them back. People look at me funny...

I like that style of guitar man, Ive been thinking of getting a new acoustic. You guys have any bands together?

Nope.....just for personal enjoyment.

Also wanted to mention what a wonder guitar the Larrivee turned out to be. I have been looking for a while, and saw 1 on auction on Ebay. List on the guitar was over $2600, and you normally see them priced in the $1300-$1500 range, with a nice case included. I offered $1000 for it and it was eventually accepted. Brand new, from a small music shop in Tenn. Absolutely a beautifully sounding guitar, and assembled as well as any Martin or Taylor.

i wish i had money to spend lol, i do have a fender strat that i had bought a couple years back, ill switch between that and my yamaha acoustic

Yeah, I have a Yamaha FG 365II which is about 25-30 years old. Not a bad guitar either for the price.......
