I hid in a bottle for a few years after I got out of the service, but I just passed my first year with out a drink.

I never achieved moderation...so eventually I gave up......on moderation...then much later, I stopped drinking all together. My worst addiction. Opiates were nothing compared to alcohol.

But, I'd say my main addiction is no moderation.

This is heavy...It's the same story with Drones. People whine and cry about obama allowing the use of drones over the US but don't think about what the US uses drones for in other countries. They are used to kill innocent people, destroy infrastructure and weaken a country's defenses. It is fucking absurd to send innocent people from the US to kill other innocent people, ON THEIR LAND!!!??? It makes me sick. We are only killing ourselves.

We toy with the weak, then act surprised when they find a way to hit back. Amazing how a group of people who totally changed the way of life in the US were able to do so without trillions of dollars and the best equipment money can buy.

One of my grand daughters was prescribed OxyContin for a back injury, who would of ever though heaven and hell could be made in pill form. I'm glad you were able find a way to stop, she wasn't so lucky.

I can't drink hard stuff, makes the native in me come out.
