Corporations profit off of perpetual war, they have a vested interest in keeping conflicts going, they're documented giving campaign contributions to politicians who then go on to, unsurprisingly, vote in favor of said companies interest instead of the American people who put them there in the first place. Democrat, republican, if you're not caught up in all the bullshit the media provides, you see what's going on pretty clearly. Is the problem that the media is much more powerful than some of us here give it credit for, because, I could be wrong, but I think if there were more people aware of the situation the government would have a much bigger problem to deal with than OWS.
Why does citizens united remain standing after all of us know what the purpose of it was? Why aren't the politicians responsible for enacting and voting for legislation like that held accountable? What do you think it is, lets get to the bottom of that..

The US economy shifted toward armaments around the time that the US saw an opportunity to become a global empire by taking over all of the former colonies of not only Britain, but all of Europe. It is debatable when this occurred, Lincoln dabbled in this, but I think Eisenhower laid it out plainly when he called it the military industrial complex. This industry has come to dominate the lion's share of the market and has even gone so far as to stimulate demand for it's wares.

I only work when I want to and it will be that way for the foreseeable future until I get bored and want to go back to work...
