There always will be winners and losers in any society, I just don't want to be pissed on and be told it's really only raining. Never before in modern times has so much wealth been amassed by so few, without some increase in the average worker life quality. Real wages have dropped dramatically in the last forty five years for the vast majority of workers in the US, while the wealth amassed by a few has quadrupled, at the very least. This disparity is just beginning to really have an affect on the fabric of this nation, and this is going to place an even larger strain on the government as it tries to control the decent into poverty that is rampant today in this country. This last man standing economic philosophy is destroying the middle and lower classes in this country, and until this is addressed, say by raising taxes on the very wealthy to support a better educational system than everyone can afford, the US can count on things getting worse, and fairly soon. The downside of unfettered capitalism is seemingly upon us, and it doesn't look good for the future unless something is done about it, which seemingly is impossible with half of the government saying nothing is wrong that less restriction on business and lower taxes couldn't fix. If only it was that simple it might work, but history has proven this wrong so far, and actually has made the situation worse. That is unless you are one of the 1% that owns everything already in this democracy.

Well, at least were not communists. I feel comfort knowing that someone, somewhere is doing whatever the fuck they want, when the want. Some of the CEO earned it, some got lucky. I hope I get lucky one day, until then Im happy to not be communist nation. There is a chance for everyone in America to make it rich. Come up with a better idea, and work harder than everyone else and you too can be filthy rich and not have to share your money with lazy drug addicts.

To me, personally, it would be the banks/borrowees who made stupid choices with an over abundance of freshly printed fiat currency that screwed the middle class in the last 5 years.
CEO pay has absolutely no effect on the existence of the middle class whatsoever.
Comparing the wages of the top earner to the bottom earner is ridiculous, that's like comparing the head of NASA to the janitor, pay would seem grossly unfair there after that...wouldn't it?

That's absolutely part of the problem as well, but at this point, I don't think it can be reasonably argued that incredibly wealthy people have the ability to influence politics by essentially purchasing votes that they end up receiving paid back in droves. Wealth itself isn't the problem, it's when that wealth is used for nefarious purposes at the expense of everyone else. When CEO's of financial institutions walk away with huge retirement bonus' and severance packages after bankrupting their company and nearly causing a global economic collapse, all paid for by the taxpayers.

CEO are people with brilliant ideas 98% of the time. some were born into it, but their parents have the right to leave their kids a Empire that they created. CEO is not a dirty word, that is the American dream. CEOs use to pay employees better but the economy ate shit cuz of big banks loaning money to anything with a pulse.

The economy ate shit because many companies were making horrible business choices (At the behest of their head men.). Banks were part of it, but Chrysler and GM didn't need a bailout because of banks.

Did you read the table you posted from? Those were the TOTAL MURDERS. The rater per 100,000 was that other column.
You're confusing the number of murders column with the murder rate per 100,000 column in that data set. Murder rate per 100,000, the countries are:
Afghanistan - 2.4
Iraq - 2
Syria - 3
US - 5
Mexico - 18.1
Of course, the numbers for Afghanistan, Iraq, and Syria are certainly misleading. 712 homicides in Afghanistan in 2008? That must exclude terrorism. The Syria numbers are five years old, so now they would certainly be way off the chart.
