HTG thoes weirdoes

thats what I'm saying!!! my "brand new" ballast looked months old and not only that it looked as if somone took a hammer to it
I mean its really fucking dented I have no idea how somone could dent it like that without hitting it with a hammer like tool I'd take pics if I wasn't such a stoned mofo

UPDATE: Concerning the two 1000 watt lights I recieved today!!!

So The tech in me couldnt sit there thinking I had a broken ballast.
so I opened it.

I found a Loose wire had popped out of the quick connect of the Capacitor.

Put it in and tested boom, fired right up.


HOWEVER, one of the Growbright bulbs is still Non Working, it is trying very hard to spark but just doesnt wanna fire.

So All in ALL just a bad bulb.

Can I blame HTG for a possible shipping knock loose of the Capacitor Wire?

Maybe, and heres why.

Looking at the inside of the ballast shows me a few things.

What looks like the ballast had sat in one posistion, was then removed and a new ballast replaced.

Also the original zip ties used to hold the capacitor and igniter had removed some paint from the original suface and new zip ties put in place over a new Iginiter and capacitor.

I think it is a refurbished ballast.

I think that HTG Sells refurbished equipment.

If you look at the website, it does not state BRAND NEW any where.

However i think they sell all Merchandise that is New through E-bAy. As E-bay forces sellers to list as New or Used or Refurbished

So thats there scheme,

Refurbs through the website.

It was so simple, why didnt I see that before I bought anything.

I am planning to call the guy tommorrow to discuss this, but as I said I have a bad Bulb any way you look at it, so I am gonna try to play it cool as I dont want to spend $80 locally for one if I piss him off.

Even Though I feel they should be pissed on.

I wish that was a option be we are providers here, and the people of this state greatly need us. Also I dont know if it is even possible to have a medical grow license transferred between states is it?

Lady.. not everyone should be a tech to get this working... I am lucky to be an electronics technicain.. so i can troubleshoot this shit..btu the thing is that they are not even telling you its refurb.... thats just chincy...... i dont know maybe its just me lady... but i wouldnt ever let anyone rip me off .. heheheh

We just bought these two lights as a test of HTG, They dont even know that we need 8 more!!!!

I think Im gonna give that guy a scare tommorrow and tell him Im about two seconds away from filing a chargeback.!!!

he wont care.. just get those bulbs by hand at a local store... order the ballast and hood from them ..but the bulbs go local... they all have the mogul base connection

I talked to the guy at HTG this morning, first call of the day for him...

He was rather nice, said he doesnt refurbish anything.

He said he would be more than willing to do whatever it took to make me a happy cutomer.

Long story short I get a Hortilux bulb... YAY.

He even offered to let me ship back the ballast and said hed upgrade that to the green one, but I declined.

Ill let em off the hook on this one, I GUESS.

After all I did get a free lighter and T-Shirt Right?
