Just curious if anyone knows more about Pennywise?
I've heard the leaves contain CBD's while still in veg.

Can anyone confirm or deny this?

There was a study/test a while back with harlequin and it's CBD profile. The one thing they pointed out is that at 4-5 weeks in VEG the leaves contained 4%+ CBD. The point they were making is that in just 4 weeks you could extract the CBD with no flowering necessary. It was very interesting but I can not find it any more. That is what I remember about it and probably what you are thinking of.

Since pennywise is (harlequin x jtr), then that trait should be in there. And the cbd testing of pennywise was really good so shouldn't be hard to find.

does it mean CBD are not necessarily found in resin heads? because I dont see any resin on my plants after 4-5 weeks veg (from seeds)

^^^Exactly. It is from/in the plant matter. I don't know how exactly they would exact it best but ya...no trichomes/resin basically. It could be very useful for safe production to never need to flower. Things like smell/odor, molds, pot size, enough SS, and other longer term variables will be less of factors. But sure won't be very fun IMO. But as far as producing a medicine for people how need that specifically, I see the benefits.

I remember that harlequin if done well was consistently testing 8%-12% CBD when flowered out, so I can see the plant matter having good amounts of CBD.

I am curious if there are any certain terpenes that are common with or specific to CBD strains.

Just cause you dont see resin on leaves dosent mean its not there. We only see raised trics with our eyes.
Get your scope. The same one you check to see how done the thc is. Get a big fan leaf and check it out. Resin all over.

About the cbd i have heard depending on the strain and/or pheno. Some have it in high amounts in the resin head and some have it in the vegetative material.
1 way to find out is make bubble hash and have the flowers and the hash tested. If the hash has lots of cbd its in the resin gland.

Curious, I would like to keep one in veg to make salads out of.
Opens up whole new possibilities as far as pain relief and convenience.
I'd like to find the lab reports, or get it tested myself one day.
Thanks for the chatter :D

There is cannabinoids in the plant matter as well (did not know that early but make sense), the reason why you can extract 20 to 30% more from buds with BHO than with non solvent techniques

Eating leafs is supposed to be good for you whether it's a high cbd strain or not fyi. As for keeping it in veg and not flowering, that MAY work... but thc rises in flower with age... it's very possible even if there's cbd in the leaves in veg it's nowhere near the 8-10% once you flower it out

I wouldn't try eating a whole lot at once the first time around. Maybe nibble a little, give it 30 minutes, nibble some more, wait another 30, and so on. I've tried the leaves before and, well, lets just say if it wasn't for the tummy ache, they make a good laxative! So, easy does it at first to see how that part goes. Kind of like how you discover which wild berries you can and cant eat in the woods. Good Luck!

I'll never understand why some jerk wold film himself opening a package from a seed bank. WTF is that idiot thinking? He just got some seeds, but one day he might want to order some more. I don't know how he would plan on doing that after showing every customs agent willing to take the time to watch some youtube videos what the packages look like coming through.
Uh....you realize that those DEA and customs agents can just order some seeds themselves, and then they know exactly how they are packaged, right?

I believe weather youre in a med state or not, its illegal to get them shipped to you. So, its NEVER a guarantee you will get them. A small percentage of them do get intercepted. Why people come on here to freak out about not getting their beans is another issue theyre trying to handle with the wrong people. I get it, it sucks really bad when you dont get them, and im sorry, but it will not be handled by complaining on here. just my 2 cents and hopefully i do not offend anyone.

Go with Timewreck. A lot of the Nerds who have grown it all like Mr Spliff, and Subcool himself- they agree Timewreck is something special.
i have seen this in subs grow room, what's the taste etc of it....i have been hooked on anything lemon for ages but other flavours dont hurt ;) im wondering if the ace of spades is the way to go, one of its parent is the jack if i'm not mistaken, the idea of black cherry soda sounds nice, im abit dubious as too if they actually taste like they should, without much pheno hunting so far lemon skunk n cheese are the only strains that actually taste as they say. nugs ace of spades came out very nice and colourful though.....

has anyone seen cali connections time wreck x another tga strain????

Don't be put off by medium yield... apollo is supposed to be a medium yielder but I get 3.5z average on plants < 3ft tall... it's all about having a dialed in environment and technique. Go supersoil it's what gets me my biggest yields. I need to make more this weekend.

Just put 7 Dr Who, 4 Mickey Kush, 4 Qush and 4 Jacks Cleaner 2 in water to soak. Dairy Queen, Void and more Ace of Spades getting popped tomorrow.
i thought sub was famous for his product descriptions being accurate?? and its refreshing to see medium yield and not just heavy yielder, inclines me to believe it is a lower yielder.

sorry for all the questions but ive been a DNA + R.P. fan for a long time, if i'm going to dedicate all my time to growing the plants as best i can, and getting the best out of them then i want to know all the tga hype is because his genetics are spot on.

it all sounds a bit to good to be true lol....maybe the weeds making me skeptical.

or maybe its because subs got the marketing of his products on smash, and because of that ... oh i dunno!!!! im chatting bollox again.

long story short lemon king; tga strains are much tastier than dna strains, speaking from personal experience. (4 dna/rp strains grown, 3 tga strains grown and 3 tga crosses grown)
even crosses made with tga strains are dank as hell!.

if you like lemon/citrus in your smoke i would try:

jack the ripper
chernobyl
jacks qleaner 2

and i haven't had a lemony pheno but i can't say enough for the spacebomb! my fav strain to date ( yield, looks, smell, flavour and effect all excellent)

if you want a truly unique strain that nobody else has be prepared to grow out a few packs of seeds and select your fav, what i like or what sub likes might be completely different to what you are looking for, best to make your own mind up.

Ace of Spades does have a JTR parentage, but so far in my experience most of the smells lean to the BCS mom. I wouldn't grow Ace if you are looking for lemon specifically - you will probably find it if you hunt enough, but that is not going to be the dominant smell/taste. If you want lemons, JC2 or JTR -- of those, I believe JC2 is supposed to be the most lemony while JTR is lemony but has more haze taste influence. JC2 is the super lemon :) I just put 4 JC2 in dirt last night.

These are polyhybrids, there's a fair amount of variation depending on which strain you pick up. The strain descriptions are usually of the dominant pheno(s). As far as light/medium/heavy yielders, i'm sure i would've got more than the apollos if it had been a heavy yielding strain like agent orange. My point was depending on how you grow you can turn a medium yielder into a heavier yield (although probably not the same as if you did a heavy yielding plant the same way). Heavy yielders tend to be the less potent phenos, so i'd focus more on finding a plant that blows you away and then worrying about getting max yield out of it through dialing in your technique... if you're wanting the biggiest yielding plants for commerical production and that's your primary concern, tga is probably not your seed company. TGA tries to get good yields but the focus is on premium dank over yield.

i know where you are coming from and while i agree in part, i also have to disagree. there are some monster yielding tga phenos out there, subs timewreck being one.

recently i grew 2 jtr clones from cutting, they had a week to veg in 6.5l pots (coco) i got nearly 10oz from the pair, they flowered for over ten weeks. by far the most productive plant i have ever grown.

Yeah I'm not saying there's no big yielding tga phenos... just saying tga's not geared towards the biggest yielding strains, it's geared to the dankest whether they yield or not and other than a couple of exceptions, you're not always going to find big yielding phenos in tga strains :) there are definitely smaller yielding timewreck phenos too -- my keeper was nowhere near the biggest yielder, but it had the chunkiest round (rather than spear) buds, best high and best smell :)

My last run of ace in non-super soil were some of the smallest yielding plants I grew... this run in super soil the jtr doms look they look like they may be the biggest yielding plants ever. :)
