Greetings from the Caribbean folks.

I would like to introduce you to my 5 girls.

*these were cuttings...2 of them are Super Lemon Haze, and the other 3 are made up variety with the SLH as the base though....took like 7 to 10 days to root (in a bucket with plain water and an aquarium pomp)

*Once they rooted they were transplanted to some small pots and vegged for 3 to 4 weeks. Inside under T5's for 24/0 light schedule.

*Outside it is 12/12 year round where I live, well maybe just now it is 12:30/11:30 but i guess its just fine for flowering? Help me on this.
They have been put outside on July 25th 2013, so coming Thursday it'll be 3 weeks since the switch.

I have a question to you my fellow growers...how long will it take to start seeing the bud formation you think?


Btw: They receive direct sun light from like 8am to like 2 to 3 pm..then the sun goes behind a tree and it becomes somewhat shady, not that it becomes dark, it is still day where they are, they still receive light but not as direct as the morning...is this OK for them to flower?

Anyways, here is a pic my brothers and sisters. Let me know on your thoughts, and guide me through my questions. Highly appreciated. Thanks.

For sure, looking nice man. For containers I always recommend 'smart pot' type containers, They are awesome. I haven't smoked Super Lemon Haze, does it have a lemon flavor?

Just let them grow until you see pre-flowers. Then the flowering will begin. Also how did you get cuttings of SLH in the caribbean, i'm here and they aren't cuttings in a 5 mile radius, just jamaican, 'hydro' and vincie seeds.

Jamboss, where I live people can order seeds online..so a quick order on attitude for the SLH from greenhouse wasnt a big deal.

Jamboss, where you live, do you grow outside or inside too? How long after the plant is outside does it start showing bud formation according to your experience in our region?

Nice looking plants. I also veg indoors and flower outside.. The plants love the fresh air and sunshine.. Once I move mine outside I see buds forming in 2- 3 weeks.. Good luck with your grow !!!

i have experience with purple super silver lemon haze out of willits, ca and from what i remember is they go huge i mean we dug out and refilled 200gal holes and they went 11ft! they took a full 10-11 wks to flower so def greenhouse, heaters, slave to the generator, you know. but with that longer flowering time i would think it could be up to 5-6 wks after the "switch" before you really start seeing any stacking. from what i recall they stretch wide as they can and fill in to the point that staking and tying almost every main cola was a must. also since you are shaded for the last portion of the "daylight" that could hinder physical bud production or density. i have some smart pot containers along side some standard black plastic nursery pots and the plastic pots retain moisture better and have shown at least a 25% increase in growth more than the 10 gal smart pot container. I'm in Colorado, you're in the Caribbean, so you probably shouldnt have much an issue of your girls drying out ;)
I think they look great! what size container are you deciding on? Also what feed? If what you got from altitude is true SLH you're in for a treat. We grew it out more coastal in cali and she was a mold resistant bitch to the very end!

well I don't think these will get to 11ft since our outdoor season is different than yours. Here it is 12/12 all year long so basically if you plant seeds outside from start you will get small plants...thats why I let the clones grow for 3 to 4 weeks before I set em out.

They will stay in those 5 gallon buckets..They received only 1 feeding during veg..and their first one now in flower last week.
I'm feeding General Organics, from the growbox...1/2 strenght of the schedule on the box..

The soil was mixed with some(not a lot, maybe 2 party cups per bucket) grass clippings that were composted since last year so thats why I think the nice green too.

I'll post pics when the bud formation starts.

1 question guys..is the outside house light which is probably a t8 or t12 ,4 meters away and 2.5 meters high; damaging my dark periods?

ive read that moonlight.street light and house lights dont damage dark periods, but i might aswell ask the pro's you know..

Tricky question, a few years ago I had my greenhouse about in meters about 9 meters from a backporch 26 watt cfl and hermied the hell out of everything inside the greenhouse. I do live in the mountains and full moons here can be very bright and have had problems with a couple of strains, which I don't grow anymore. So some of it just depends on how sensitive your strain is to light I believe. Now I either move them inside at night or pull the shade cover over the greenhouse and have never had another problem. Good Luck

Well this one is 15 watt t8 ..i thought its too little and too far..not enough enough light for the plants to even notice there's light...oh man i dont know...i hope someone else can shine in on this one... thanks for the good luck!

there is no switch, we have the "eye" outside that catches when there is no more sun and it turns all lights outside automatically.

only way would be to pull the bulb out...so I want to know if it harms it, if not there is no need.
