I am reading about Antarctica, and there are a few awesome things about it. 1) There are no "laws" as we know them, so there is really no limit to the plants that can be grown there. Species and plant count don't apply. And, growing plants there and using some of them in outdoor trials could actually help people learn more about Antarctica. 2) 6 Months of sunlight, 6 months of darkness. So plenty of time for an outdoor harvest, and there is even an area known as the "Dry Valley". 3) Apparently there are hundreds of cities, and like 4 or 5 "metropolises". I had no idea that people actually lived in Antarctica, and apparently it has become more popular since the recession started. 4) There is internet access, but not really any deliveries. So that's half pro half con. 5) No fishing or hunting, but plenty of stuff for videos and no rules against farming. 6) Even just living there would be a research project all it's own, but being there would offer a chance at SO many other things. Look up the cities there and stuff, there is one that is underground and the whole thing is lit up by one candle in the doorway reflecting off of tons of quarts. Even just 6 months there would be something tons of people would want to see.

hypothetically you just got relocated there.

A: what would you need to survive, how would you sustain yourself indefinitely (food/water/shelter/electricity)
B: what would you do while there (main focus of entertainment)
C: would you fuck a penguin?

A: 1-3x 1000W lights, 2 rooms (one for sleeping one for growing, one could even be a green room) the light could be used to melt snow and ice for water. Other than that, a computer, internet, seeds, computer, external hard drives. B: Internet, making videos, growing different kinds of plants, checking out animals and exploring different areas. C: No, but I would definitely hang out with penguins and feed them and film them and shit.

plus as you said there is internet access so you could still post about it here, it would be more like people paying for you to research
Well, I'm sure I wouldn't have as much time to spend on the internet. And as I have already proven multiple times, when I have stuff to do I disappear from this site. But, I would definitely be posting Youtube videos, and maybe start an Antarctic grow journal here.

how would you get power?
what food?
where on antarctica?
what kind of other supplies?
You guys would be paying for it as part of the travel cost. Anywhere on Antarctica. I wouldn't need other supplies, that's all I can afford to have in America, I don't see why I would need anything else but like a camera and video camera, which I also already have.
