Good deeds & random acts of kindness

Good people exist worldwide and do not get near the credit they deserve. They are selfless, honest, compassionate and caring. They help total strangers with no expectations of getting anything back. For every horrible headline and story I see on the news these people restore my faith in humanity. The small things mean a lot whether it is taking 10 minutes of your time to help someone change a flat or jump a car, or buying a homeless guy outside the gas station a coffee or lunch. I love seeing people that think about others and not just themselves. I hope to pass this energy on to others and in turn it can build into something beautiful. Lets hear some stories of when you have been in a bind and a random person has helped you out or you saw somebody in need and in turn gave them a hand.

I try to carry granola bars in my car so when I head downtown and somebody needs some food I can help. I'd rather give the food, than $$$.

So many times.First time I ever "spare changed?" the guy gave me 20 bucks. It was Daytona Bike week.My van broke down and was about to get towed. Then one time at Mardi Gras the van did get towed.I realized it it after like 2 days.I went to the city and told them I had no money to get it out and its got a full tank so I'm leaving. And besides if you keep the van,me and six of my buddies will be stuck being gutter punks in the french quarter.-They gave the van back for free

My Best friend growing up was Stabbed to Death and had his car stolen from a guy on the side of the road that "needed help"

I think it's pointless. Who cares about helping others? At the end of the day, if YOU as a person feel good about yourself. That's all that matters. Plenty of Demons to Get you, not enough Angels to set you free :peace:

few days ago I went to get gas.. I noticed a lady and son who were having a hard time getting the gas tank lid off, So I offered to help.. I was doing all I could to take that thing off and it was not moving.. ended up ripping part of the skin on my finger off in the process.. explained I was not able to budge it.. she was glad I offered..

last Friday we had a man hobble into our Church and asked me to call 911. He had been beaten up and his arm and face was dripping with blood.. handed him some paper towels and called the PD.. they arrive within a few mins and start to talk to the guy.. (he was pretty lit too) someone beat him up (one of his drinking buddies) and took his cell..

I always try to help people out. My kids have made me compassionate. Sure I'm a crazy fucker but I'm a nice guy. You never know when you're going to be on the other end needing help.

I'm a sucker for hitchhikers -- if there's room, and they're smiling (not a scary axe murderer smile, either), I'll give'em a lift, food, nug. The good karma paid off when my car broke down. I got picked up in less than 15 minutes!

Here at home is the international headquarters af THE ORPHAN GRAIN TRAIN, and MERCY MEALS. Volunteers package nutritious meals that are sent all over the world, Haiti, the Congo,Kenya, etc. I have been personally been involved in the packaging of enough meals to feed 600,000 people for a day, in third world, and domestic places. It just makes me feel good, especially when you get letters and photos of appreciation from all over the world. Peace & be kind.

I was jogging and i seen a guy thrown on the sidewalk asking for help so i asked what the problem was he said he needed water. Then he leaped up off the ground and lunged at me yelling FUCK YOU at the top of his lungs. I was caught off guard so i hit him just a reaction i guess . He fell back to the floor then i tossed my water bottle by his body and jogged away. True story!!
