When to sex bagseeds.

I've grown nothing but bagseeds the last 5 grows. I'm on my 6th they are 2 weeks into veg and I'm just curious as when people sex bagseeds to toss the males and save nutes and soil.

I normally do 3 weeks veg sex transplant females veg another week to recover from transplant shock and then flower. I would like to hear other people's methods though.

I take 2 clones from each plant and sex one of the clones then throw away the male plants and male clones. When I grow from seed.

Nice idea, except I've never did clones and don't got the setup for it either. I'm just trying to figure out the easiest way to do so.

yea you need a separate veg and flower room. you should totally be playing around with cloning though. it is a very useful skill. I know of several people that do it the same way you do..well they go back to veg for like 5 weeks after they show sex and transplant 2 weeks befor flowering but that has more to do with plant size

I honestly agree with you, but my sister was a junkie and got her kids taken away by cys and instead of them going somewhere else we took them. So I got to be very careful with things right now and can't put a cloner in my room without it being put up. I mean they have already been inside and everything's fine so far but I can't take any chances.

Next grow, let one of the females go extra long in flowering. Usually, she will develop "naners" tucked into lower buds. You can pluck one, open it up and paint the pollen onto the stigma of a female flower. You could even just let her self pollinate. I usually find a few "naners" at harvest. Sometimes I find a few seeds in one of the lower buds. I save these seeds as they are all female.

These little banana pollen sacks are not a sign of hermaphroditism, nor are they a result of stress. They are natural and common and serve as a survival mechanism for the plant when it realizes its nearing the end of its life and it hasn't been pollinated.

As for sexing, I use feminized seeds. If I didnt I would veg them until I saw preflowers. You veg for 3 weeks, sex (at least a week) then veg for another week. Thats 5 weeks. You could probably determine sex by then if you just left them in veg.

Last grow, I did get 1 seed out of 3 ounces under a 400w from 1 plant. It's growing now and I got it marked which one it is. It's bigger and looks better then the rest. I'm currently doing my 6th grow. I got 12 seedlings all together including that one I just mentioned. Is that one for sure female? I'm only hoping for 5-7 females lol but I did 12 because you never know how many males.
