Advanced Nutrient Claims"Are they true?"

AN owns the market when it comes to producing "top shelf meds" and the people that think it cost too much don't have a clue what they are doing anyway. Dynagrow and all that cheap garbage can take a back seat

Spoken like a true noob.

A GOOD grower can adapt and grow "top shelf meds" with any nutrient line. AN, DG, GH, Cyco, BLOOM, literally even hot garbage.

By the way these trichomes are from the Dr.who strain I just finished... Just for Dr.who  who came with facts... Well kinda sounded like a math word problem, no actual details or specifics about a particular product...
I tend to speak in generalities for the ease of understanding. But,,OK,,,,I'll take the challenge.

First off I must say that the AN nutrients in question have changed a TAD. (due to the formula's they used were patented and the patent holder threatened a law suit and I have that on the greatest authority!) Well maybe more then a tad, but they adjusted their instructions to make up for the loss. ANY WAY;;;;
BUD FACTOR X
BUD CANDY
ARE THE SAME THING IN THE SAME CONCENTRATION! (.5% MAG from nitrate,,,used to be 1.5% Mag and 2.0% sulfur from Mag Sulfate)
FINAL FLUSH (.97% mag and 1.3% sulfur from mag EDTA and mag sulfate) is still much closer to that "original" formula I spoke of, but had become this "newly" named product with a new set of instructions that seem kind of puzzling as why would you use a MAG/SULFUR product as a "6 hr prewash"? (because they want some extra mag/sulfur to boost tric/terp production during the wash?) Why bother because you can achieve the same thing for less in other ways!

I didn't even mention VOODOO, TARANTULA and PIRANHA - MICROBES/FUNGUS and BACTERIA that they have you use to replace what comes naturally in soil. Nor do they mention that you have to keep using it because their synthetic Nutrients kill those "living" things....OK , , OK I agree, everyone else's synth's kill them too. BUT,,why not just include them in compatible solutions and end up charging less all the while building yourself a "good" name......one word for that,,,,PROFITS!!!!

Now then, the real point I need to make is that what they really do is make all these fancy adds (including publishing their own glossy propaganda magazine) That get "nubees" sold on just how wonderful and perfect their product is by overrated claim's of the best result's possible. I mean come on here, start with this formula and then move up to this one to improve and then that one to be the best and then this one to be the "MASTER" ROTFL!!!.....That's called marketing , , plain and simple you pay way more then you need to to get the same result's I can achieve for way less money!

The REAL thing that needs to be shown to new growers is that the best thing you can do is to FIRST learn about gardening, the basic's. Like go out and read a few book's on gardening. Then read up on organics and learn what's IN the soil and how those things work for plants (the soil-food-web).....Then read up on some Hydroponics if that's your choice....Then read up on your plant of choice!!!! You see, bottom line,,growing marijuana is not rocket science, but the impression given by some nutrient manufactures and place's like here, make it SOUND that way! How frickin often do I have to tell people they have P&K tox and NOT a Nitro def. because they poisoned their plants with "BUDBLOOD"!! (to much way to soon).

I can make 60 gallons of "feed ready" organic microbe tea for less then .50 cents! Use it for 6 days and then "cheat" with some synthetic supplements in the 7th day and still get the same results you do in the end! Not to mention I'll bet it would taste better! And that's not even a "pure" organic grow anymore (I do that sometimes, but organic is my grow of choice).

I find for the price alone that you could try several dif. manufacturers products (synthetics) and achieve the same results you do now and still have enuff money for the extra razors you have to buy --- LOL (love your avatar).

So that's it. Facts,,just like you asked for. BOOM! DONE!

I agree with plenty of your post... As far as microbial life pirahna tarantula etc.. it needs to be intermittent not used every feed, only at beginning of veg and the beginning of flower which charges the microbial life and keeps it active, you are supposed to read before just using the products in conjunction with synths, just like h202 kills the media life...it needs to be used properly.. I do agree with the marketing scheme and the synthetic lines it is silly and cartooned out and redundant, and its bullshit... But they do offer an organic line, and would like to hear your opinions on AN 100% organic line? Thank you for taking the time to provide healthy information for people to make a decision...I have read about the same product different label thing as well, but I also read not all ingredients can be labeled... So perhaps there is other stuff in it, I'm not sure..

No, I have not used their organic line. I'm sure it works just fine (your pics show bare that out) and I'm glad to see they have an organic line now. But, I feel that it's just another "profits" move on their part. I have been growing for a l o n g - l o n g time and have found that I prefer to make my own teas and supplement on my own from experience and schooling. I save HUGE amounts of dollars by doing it this way. I teach class's on growing MM in my spare time and include ALL forms of growing in the class. I even supply the way I feed and the formula's to make your own (including others formula's) and how to do that (advanced class). But still ask that all students read up on general gardening before they get into it in detail. I also tell them that most manufactures over "hype" their products (including organic line's) to simply get into their wallets. AN falls into that category. I also tell them that these guys stuff works, but you can do it better for less and it will take time and experience to get to that point. "Be patient", keep notes on everything and refer to them often!

Like I said, AN works, it's just not cost effective.

WOW,,headache from ingredients list. Feels like I'm back in college....OK, I'll give you that but in what concentrations and are they actively making a difference from one to another?
Please inform me how? wink, wink.....

At any rate this is mostly opinions.
I just can't abide by the practice of way to many products bottled for the love of money at my cost. Or the FACT that they do it to those who don't know any better for that profit.

Spot on man! I agree... And making your own teas and sweets are great and very cost effective...no brainer for sure, I stand by the same, it works great, but is rather pricey and the marketing and plethora of bottles is overkill, that is what needed to be clearly stated not " its a rip off scammer yada yada) ..I have an instant tea from OGTea which is a veganic microbial booster...instant brew and will encorporate that with super soil soon to test them out.... Thanks for chatting

Just learn to garden and it won't matter which brands you use.

AN is good if you need your hand held and feel like paying out the ass for some chemicals. The same could be said about just about every other major hydro brand.

There's really nothing special about AN's products compared to say GH products.

I tend to speak in generalities for the ease of understanding. But,,OK,,,,I'll take the challenge.

First off I must say that the AN nutrients in question have changed a TAD. (due to the formula's they used were patented and the patent holder threatened a law suit and I have that on the greatest authority!) Well maybe more then a tad, but they adjusted their instructions to make up for the loss. ANY WAY;;;;
Your talking politics now and has nothing to do with quality of products. Formulations change quite regularly, products get banned or allowed, rules and regs. change constantly. Semantics and politics to the grower.

why would you use a MAG/SULFUR product as a "6 hr prewash"? (because they want some extra mag/sulfur to boost tric/terp production during the wash?) Why bother because you can achieve the same thing for less in other ways!
Do you think your flushing your plants or their medium?

I didn't even mention VOODOO, TARANTULA and PIRANHA - MICROBES/FUNGUS and BACTERIA that they have you use to replace what comes naturally in soil. Nor do they mention that you have to keep using it because their synthetic Nutrients kill those "living" things....OK , , OK I agree, everyone else's synth's kill them too. BUT,,why not just include them in compatible solutions and end up charging less all the while building yourself a "good" name......one word for that,,,,PROFITS!!!!!
You just said their synthetic nutes would kill the living things and now you want then to put it into one bottle?? Do you understand formulations and the reasons why certain products are not compatible with each other but both are required?

Now then, the real point I need to make is that what they really do is make all these fancy adds (including publishing their own glossy propaganda magazine) That get "nubees" sold on just how wonderful and perfect their product is by overrated claim's of the best result's possible. I mean come on here, start with this formula and then move up to this one to improve and then that one to be the best and then this one to be the "MASTER" ROTFL!!!.....That's called marketing , , plain and simple you pay way more then you need to to get the same result's I can achieve for way less money!!
Advertising is a valuable tool for any company, can't judge a company by how well they market themselves, should judge the products. To be able to judge the product you must have a knowledge base built from experience not reading. Reading is the FIRST step.

Excellent advise I would also recommend to research products and understand the why's and when's. You right its not rocket science but what is a good yield to you will not be a good yield to me.

Well just from what I have read has given me a little insight in your experience level and I would not be challenging too many here that's for sure JAS

My problem is when people defend any particular brand with the purely ancedotal evidence of "well look at this picture of the plants I grew, they are dank so it must be all this extra money im spending on AN nutes". I don't limit that to AN believers, though. There is such little scientific and empirically gathered data on the effects of these "add-on" ferts(outside of the basic NPK needs of the plant) to the growth of cannabis specifically to the point that you are LITERALLY buying into the hype. That's just my crappy opinion though, do whatever works for you but don't ever think there is only one way for premium results.

Npk is the backbone. What about your rhizosphere and the microbial life within the media? These "add ons" help the plant uptake the nutrients more effectively.. In turn they thrive more instead of work just to survive...

Just learn to garden and it won't matter which brands you use.

AN is good if you need your hand held and feel like paying out the ass for some chemicals. The same could be said about just about every other major hydro brand.

There's really nothing special about AN's products compared to say GH products.
That's false... Also lets not forget AN has an organic schedule...Gh is different, all nutrients impart a "brand" IMO in the flavor and growth...if its all the same why can I tell the difference between FoxFarm, go, advanced, supersoil? It's different, achieving success can be had at different levels.

Of course microbial life is very important, especially for an organic soil grow. But you don't need a bunch of extra products to sustain a healthy rhizosphere, especially if you are using quality soil. Something like a molasses additive I could definately see as useful, but no more so than a bottle of unsulphered molasses from the grocery store.

Are you telling me you can literally taste what kind of nutes people use? Also, while AN does have an organic line-- so does GH. In my opinion NPK is NPK. You can ether deliver that through chemical ferts that the plant can directly absorb or an organic process of microbes breaking down guanos, etc to put it in a form the plant can uptake. Every brand wants you to believe there is something special and unique about their line; but it's mostly just the same chemicals that mainstream agriculture have been using way before the big medical/hydroponics boom took place. Anything outside that, such as bloom boosters/bud hardeners/whatever new and shiny bottle is put out next, probably does not have enough valid research behind its use and possible health effects to support spending your money on let alone spraying/feeding your plants with.

If you're going the organic route, why spend so much money on bottles of literal shit? Chicken shit is probably better anyway.

As for bloom boosters, they're all basically buffered or unbuffered mono potassium phosphate, which is a main ingredient in almost all hydroponic mixes as the main source of phosphate. It's been the same in hydroponic mixes since at least the 30s.

Go back and read the ingredients list for carboload, or bud candy for example! I already provided this info a few back....hint not what you said....
