that's controlling what gun you can't have.

You're an idiot. How is controlling what gun you can have different from controlling what gun you can't have? You make absolutely no sense at all. The long term democrat goal here is to ban the second amendment. Not all at once, but to chip away at it slowly. Piece by piece.

FBI: MORE PEOPLE KILLED WITH HAMMERS, CLUBS EACH YEAR THAN RIFLES
By AWR HAWKINS,
According to the FBI annual crime statistics, the number of murders committed annually with hammers and clubs far outnumbers the number of murders committed with a rifle.
This is an interesting fact, particularly amid the Democrats' feverish push to ban many different rifles, ostensibly to keep us safe of course.
However, it appears the zeal of Sens. like Dianne Feinstein (D-CA) and Joe Manchin (D-WV) is misdirected. For in looking at the FBI numbers from 2005 to 2011, the number of murders by hammers and clubs consistently exceeds the number of murders committed with a rifle.
Think about it: In 2005, the number of murders committed with a rifle was 445, while the number of murders committed with hammers and clubs was 605. In 2006, the number of murders committed with a rifle was 438, while the number of murders committed with hammers and clubs was 618.
And so the list goes, with the actual numbers changing somewhat from year to year, yet the fact that more people are killed with blunt objects each year remains constant.
For example, in 2011, there was 323 murders committed with a rifle but 496 murders committed with hammers and clubs.
While the FBI makes is clear that some of the "murder by rifle" numbers could be adjusted up slightly, when you take into account murders with non-categorized types of guns, it does not change the fact that their annual reports consistently show more lives are taken each year with these blunt objects than are taken with Feinstein's dreaded rifle.
Another interesting fact: According to the FBI, nearly twice as many people are killed by hands and fists each year than are killed by murderers who use rifles.

you said hammers versus guns, not hammers AND clubs versus a small subset of guns.

OK. Whatever. My bad. Maybe I should have been more specific and stayed on point about how democrats are in the process of banning my second amendment rights when it comes to semi-automatic rifles, and removable magazines.

New sales of semi-automatic rifles with removable magazines would be banned in California under a bill passed by the Democratic-led state legislature on Tuesday, and those who already own such weapons would have to register them.

I know of no one who did what you claim most do. I own three guns but only one was bought with any record. The other two were unrecorded private sales, completely legal.
What does it matter? Obviously, everyone who goes on a killing spree uses an AR-15. Those instruments of immediate death should be banned from here to Kingdom Come.

Without one, you don't even qualify to go on a shooting spree.

They should all be melted down into food for the children...for the good of all mankind.

Just go ahead and say it buck shot. You know you want to. Then we can live in your blissful utopia on earth where man and beast all eat from the same food bowl.

There was no AR-15 in the D.C. shooting on Monday. The media made it up before the facts came in.

hunting and self defense are excellent, legitimate uses for guns.

but 50 cals and rifles designed specifically for military use have no purpose in civilian hands.
