Hello All,
I am BRAND new to the whole growing scene. I know that LED lighting has come a long way so I decided to purchase the "Out of This World Grow kit" from HTG Supply. Setup details in link. (http://www.htgsupply.com/Product-Out-Of-This-World-Grow-Kit) However I am having some temp issues. I rigged some 6 inch ducting from my A/C vent on my ceiling into the tent. You would think pulling in cold air would solve the problem, however Im thinking I may have shot myself in the foot by upgrading the order to the 7-band 240W LED light instead of the UFO it comes with. Complete Output comes out to 456 Watts including the T5s. Maybe a little too much lighting for such a small setup? As soon as my thermostat reaches set temp (usually between 69-72 degrees) and my A/C in my house cuts off, the temps creep into the low 80s. I am aiming to keep temps between 65-75 at all times. Tough to do in southern Louisiana even in the fall months!
I don't really have an EXHAUST set up, just the INTAKE set up. All I have is the vent open on the back, bottom side of the tent. After doing as much research as I could stand I don't really know which direction to go in from here. Some guidance would be great!! Some things I've considered based off of my research are a portable A/C so the thermostat can be inside the tent itself, an exhaust system, maybe doing away with the T5s all together, putting the LED in an air cooled hood, and getting a Co2 setup so the plants can thrive in the higher temp environment.
Responses are much appreciated!
