I am getting closer to my first harvest and am starting to look for a good jewelers eyepiece so I can see the trichomes. Any suggestions?

i'll find one in the US :) every time. Use my card for an overseas purchase, Bank of America turns my card off.

Thank you!
I know when I'm spending too much money when BOA calls me and suspect fraudulent charges! LOL, "nope, that's me". Yeah, I agree with SW, just about any jewelers loop will work or hand held scope. My inventory includes usb computer connected 200X scope, handheld 60X scope, and a Iphone case scope. I prefer the 60X handheld, gets the job done fast and easy. http://www.amazon.com/s/?ie=UTF8&keywords=pocket+microscope+60x&tag=googhydr-20&index=aps&hvadid=7365459684&hvpos=1t2&hvexid=&hvnetw=g&hvrand=6322357011300640702&hvpone=&hvptwo=&hvqmt=b&hvdev=c&ref=pd_sl_5zqmc43nxa_b I have a Carson.

I thought I would share a learning experience with this first grow and... hopefully, get your thoughts on how I should move forward. I am using a DWC system. Most of what you read when you first get into all of this is about growing in dirt... And I did not realize that, until recently. I had been running my nutes at 1,150 - 1,200 for the last 3 weeks of veg thru the first three weeks of flower before I realized, my nutes should be half of that running DWC. What I thought was a more of a heat issue, is really nute burn. I have backed the nutes way off now, down to 550.

Have i I damaged my plant? Potency? Flavor? What can I do to repair any damage I may have caused?

You've pretty much done all you can.

The best advice I have for you is to test your DWC bucket for ppm every 24hours.

Make sure your ppm's are either decreasing or staying the same.

If it rises in ppm then you're mix is too strong.

Sorry, I don't have any experience with DWC, but Jon grows some monster bud, I'd listen to him Justforme11.

Got them all in there SW, should make a nice flat canopy from wall to wall. How much longer do you have on the plants to the left?

Why thank you lol.

Personally I've never tried DWC but I understand hydro completely (used to be a full hydro guy) and its all about monitoring your res now.

Hope you haven't burned your roots too badly.

Keep an eye on those ppm's and you should be ok.

Remember, increase in ppm in your res, add more water to decrease ppm.

You're looking for the "sweet spot" whereby nutes and water are uptaken at the same rate leaving ppm stable or with a very minimal decrease.

Once you find that sweet spot, as plants grow bigger their demand for nutrients is greater so the sweet spot changes.

Just try to find it each time and you should get stellar results.

Morning gents! This Thread is amazing

Seriously, such great growers collaborating to create a thread of epic proportion.

Thanks to all for sharing all these drool shots.

Allow me to add my daily contribution..
Day 55 from 12/12, trikes are starting to pile up

Same strain (sister pheno)<---- I am very rudimentary with my grow vernacular, or vocabulary..

^First pic is supposed to be Indica Dom, and 2nd is supposed to be Sativa Dom..see pic below..

I'm thinking my labels were switched somewhere along the way.

So, I turn to the fine green-thumbs of this thread...

While I understand a picture may be hard to determine... Thought I'd ask and post pics that should assist in determining Sativa/Indica.

Supposed to be Indica (but to me looks Sativa)

Supposed to be Sativa, but looks to be Indica..

^ last pic is from a week ago or so.

Thanks in advance for any assistance, sorry to ask such a newbie question in a fantastic legendary thread, but I figure this would be one of the best sources of canna-knowledge!!

Happy muthafckn Friday Rollers! :)

SirDankDabs! It can be hard to tell apart similar phenotypes of the same strain when they look nearly identical. Both look like sat dom hybrids to me. Just keep checking your trichs and see who is turning milky to amber first and who is packing on the most weight. Also many sat dom hybrids go a full 9wks~63days so don't chop too soon!
Looking great everyone keep it rolling!

Thanks again GT!!

I knew that question would be tough to answer..

Indicas tend to yield larger” rounder” flowers correct?

Sativa usually smaller and more narrow flowers?

If talking about pure land race indicas and sativas yes that is an accurate description of bud structures however hybrids come in all shapes an sizes regardless of which spectrum they are dominant in. That is why you see so many S/I 60/40 hybrids cause you get the yields of indicas with the potency of sativa.
