“The first truth is that the liberty of a democracy is not safe if the people tolerate the growth of private power to a point where it becomes stronger than their democratic state itself. That, in its essence, is fascism -- ownership of government by an individual, by a group, or by any other controlling private power.... Among us today a concentration of private power without equal in history is growing.” ~FDR
like most Fascists FDR tries to conceal the nature of Fascism from his dupes.
the Marxist prize at the bottom of the box is supposed to be a secret.

An inherent aspect of fascist economies was economic dirigisme,[SUP][4][/SUP] meaning an economy where the government exerts strong directive influence, and effectively controls production and allocation of resources. In general, apart from the nationalizations of some industries, fascist economies were based on private property and private initiative, but these were contingent upon service to the state.[SUP][5][/SUP]
Fascism operated from a Social Darwinist view of human relations. Their aim was to promote superior individuals and weed out the weak.[SUP][6][/SUP] In terms of economic practice, this meant promoting the interests of successful businessmen while destroying trade unions and other organizations of the working class.[SUP][7][/SUP] Fascist governments encouraged the pursuit of private profit and offered many benefits to large businesses, but they demanded in return that all economic activity should serve the national interest.[SUP][8][/SUP] Historian Gaetano Salvemini argued in 1936 that fascism makes taxpayers responsible to private enterprise, because "the State pays for the blunders of private enterprise... Profit is private and individual. Loss is public and social."

I agree that the center-right democrat party has become rather fascist. I'm surprised that it took you so long to draw the conclusion I was insinuating in Beenthere's thread. Also, Obamacare (Romneycare) is fascist and not at all socialist. Both major parties are controlled by Wall Street. Public healthcare is now privatized.

However, FDR was no fascist. He was the most recent president to sit left of center.

again, you pretend to not understand that Fascism is just another cobblestone on the road to Marxist Authoritarian Socialism, and eventually (in theory) to Marxist Utopian Communism.

Mussolini spelled it all out, just as Marx and Engles did, just as Trotsky did, just as Mao did.

FDR was a Third Way Socialist, which is just a less unpleasant, more agreeable form of Fascism.

I have repeatedly demonstrated that fascism is all about privatization.

cap·i·tal·ism

noun \ˈka-pə-tə-ˌliz-əm, ˈkap-tə-, British also kə-ˈpi-tə-\ : a way of organizing an economy so that the things that are used to make and transport products (such as land, oil, factories, ships, etc.) are owned by individual people and companies

and Green is a form of Blue.

no wait, Green is a form of Yellow!

Por que no los dos?

"The Third Way" is Socialism using the weaknesses of Capitalism and Democracy to erode and destroy Capitalism and Democracy from within, but the final aim is Socialism, and eventually Utopian Communism as described by Marx.

China is currently experiencing the OPPOSITE effect, capitalism and democracy eroding Socialism from within, which is Counter Revolutionary.

in Capitalism you are allowed to be a Marxist till your ass falls off, because you have that Liberty (note: thats why "Libertarianism" is never Socialist) yet in Marxism you are not allowed to be a Capitalist until the regime starts unraveling. (unless you are an Apparatchik, then you can be as Capitalist as you please)

so Keynes using the word "socialism" is like your use of the word "racist"?
good afternoon, my eternally angry amiga.

Actually, fascism is a form of capitalism, as has been repeatedly demonstrated to you today, including educational and wikipedia links describing the methodical privatization which is characteristic of fascism. Capitalism and socialism are mutually exclusive terms.

Therefore fascism can not be a form of socialism as you suggest. Neither can any form of socialism be correctly described as fascist. Fascism is authoritarian capitalism.

So you're saying Marx was pro-privatization now too?
No. Marx would have shit his knickers over Fascism, but only because it was Non-Revolutionary, and thus Counter Revolutionary.

Trotsky, a True Believer, opposed Fascism as a betrayal of Marxist principles, and the proletarian revolution. He was certain that Fascism would never advance to proper Socialism, and thus would never achieve the evolution to Communism which was the basis for all Marxist thought.

Trotsky similarly opposed Bolshevism, as a betrayal of the proletarian revolution, and institution of what amounted to a feudal, class based society which strip-mined Marxist rhetoric for the titles of the new nobility.

This is why Trotsky was airbrushed out of Bolshevik History, was exiled to Mexico, and died with an icepick in his ear courtesy of Stalin and the KGB.

Fascism (Third Way Socialism) remains the only viable means of expansion for Marxist thought in the west, as happy prosperous people have proved difficult to radicalize, and Marxism has been thoroughly discredited by history.

True Marxists and Trotskyites may not like it, but it's all the "Progressives" have left in their playbook.

You think Mussolini would have developed his brand of slow creeping Marxism if he could have simply overthrown the Capitalist regime by hurling bodies at the barricades?

The Italian Proles weren't buying what the Communists and Socialists were selling, so Mussolini decided to take the long way round. That's what Hitler, Franco and Peron did too. Otherwise they would have been hung as insurrectionists when their tiny cadre of loyal Marxists failed to overcome the Democratically elected governments of their nations.

Exactly, except the threat of socialism is real.
the threat of racism seems to be very real to you, but only when it comes from trolling trollsters like el tib. anything anti-white sets your long hair right on fire.

but actual holocaust deniers and white supremacists? you just sit quietly and let them say what they have to say.

you are too much of a pussy to stand up to actual racism like that.
