I know how insurance works see4, the significant part of the equation you left out was the fact that millions of more Americans are joining the pool and are paying substantially lower rates, so please address my original question.

Ask your auto insurance agent if having everyone in the pool lowers the cost of auto insurance.

After all it is what they been saying for 60 years

Apologies but insurance is not my specialty. Could it be possible that the millions of additional policies create these significantly reduced rates? Is it equivalent to a bulk discount, am I looking at this backwards or are you?
