What's For Dinner Tonight?

Knew there'd be a workaround. Chia seeds I can't think of without cracking a smile. My pal was banging on about them to anyone who'd listen saying there's a tribe somewhere that uses them as currency. He was saying he was going to live off them exclusively lol.

Nutritional value is the last thing on my mind when cooking a meal :-) the sauce for my fish the other day had 180g of butter in it.

Those seeds are pretty tasty hydrated almost strawberry like. Not tried baking with them but I bet they'd work nicely in allsorts.

Like the thinking ttt. I drink with similar disregard.

I'm the same with booze, currently on about 3L of cider a night. But I'm an alcoholic so maybe I don't count. Just finishing day 1 of no cigarettes though.

I've just been given a new job :-) I'm now in charge of Christmas eve and boxing day menu. Gonna be epic :-) I'm thinking pan fried zebra steaks for boxing day :-)

I'm calming down these days but that's about to go out the window for crimbo.

Zebra steak lmao. I look forward to bubble n squeak on boxing day. Almost as good as the dinner itself.

Being unemployed just means I can drink as much as I want. Interview on Wednesday so won't last forever, have to back it down to sensible amounts.

And zebra, hell yes :-) my family are picky so I'm just going to tell them its steak, not like I'm lying, just withholding so key details :-D don't think I've ever had bubble and squeak, only know it from the original wind in the willows.

country fried cube steak... homemade mashed potatoes.... green beans in Italian dressing.... poppy seed bread.... big ass can of Arizona ice-t.... only thing that would have made it better was homemade gravey and fresh green beans instead of canned I CAN COOK MY ASS OFF

Lemon and rosemary marinaded chicken breast with crispy skin, served with saffron/paprika pilaf. Two sauces, a roasted red pepper coulis and a basil/italian parsley oil. Marinaded carrots in a balsamic vinegarette, then sauteed and tied together with green onion. Deep fried Angel hair yam as a garnish.... ;)

Yesterdays leftover rehashed. My wife made Chicken, Pumpkin, Beans and Cashew nut in a sweet sauce for dinner last night, with basmati rice. We stored it for today and instead of just reheating it I made pies/pastijtje, and a sort of Sicillian rice ball.

Honest, we never bought it as a carry out!:)

The rice balls filled with the chicken and pumkin mix

Pastijtjes filled with chicken and pumpkin mix

OVen baked (should really have deep fried the rice balls me thinks)

Eets makkelijk.
