How's it going everybody??

Welcome to my Room-0-Death!
I am calling it that since so far I have grown plant's that suffer a terrible life once they go into the Red Room! Hopefully that will change soon with the help of a few friend's!!!

Quick tidbit about ButchyBoy...

I suffer from severe memory loss along with a bunch of physical issues and am fully disabled because of it.I have been tested for everything under the sun in an attempt to rule out Parkinson's Disease and am still in the process 2 years later!

I dabbled with growing in the early 80's so I figured I would give it a go again. I started my room one year and one month ago with some bag seed from my old bosses garden.Since then I have picked up 4 strains in the form of clones from the dispensary complete with Powdery Mildew!:cuss:

Let's get started shall we!!!!!

Here is a peek into the Red Room. Currently one of my ballast's is in California getting replaced so I have a 125 watt CFL for a temporary light above the AK48 and Blue Dream

I currently have 6 clones, 9 vegging and 7 in flower. Oop's  ;)

sc.jpg

If you looked over that pic you will see that four of the plant's say colloidal silver. I made a batch yesterday and sprayed those in hopes of getting some beans from all four. Some pollen would be a bonus!!!

I have been dealing with fungus gnats ever since I switched to soil and need to end my operation completely so I can start over with all new soil! Stay away from Miracle Grow moisture control. I used some that was purchased for our greenhouse one grow ago and have had them little fuckers ever since.

Spider traps work pretty good at collecting them along with flies and spiders. I read that honey on a piece of paper works also and I will be trying that today.

I had taken some clones from flowering plants just to see how they would recover and grow. There is nothing like doing it yourself and comparing it to the forum hype!

In this picture the plant in the black pot was cloned 10/1 from a flowering plant. On 10/30 it was showing roots in a jiffy puck, up-potted and marked down as vegging. It has been vegging for 39.8 days.
The big plant in the shopping bag was cloned from a vegging plant on 10/23 and was showing roots 11/12 and up-potted. It has been vegging for 35.7 days. That purple pot was also cloned from a flowering plant and has been vegging for 54.8 days. :-|

I don't think I will clone a flowering plant again unless it is a last ditch effort to save the strain.

The shopping bag plant loves to be all up in the lights!! She will go into the red room as soon as I harvest the Whorly plant.

I mentioned I was trying to make some seed's.

My wife bought me some silver ingots for Christmas but won't wrap them and put them under the tree due to our daughter being uncomfortable with it. She know's about my plant's but doesn't want it in her face. I am cool with that so givem to me-A !!!!!!

Stole the power supply I was using for a PC fan.. EDIT: Just noticed the brand name on the power supply LOL!)

20131217_082739.jpg

Some distilled water and I got bubbles right away!

20131217_083023.jpg

I plugged it in for about 4 hours. That is when I could see a definite lazer pointer beam in the water.

These are the plant's that are getting sprayed.. One of each flavor. The two in the back are from flowering plants. The one on the right up front was topped for a clone. ( I prefer the top) Droopy had just been up-potted and needed a drink.

One of my bad habits is to keep more clones than I need, which leads to a crowded room.:leaf:

So I decided to clean house and get rid of one of the freshly rooted clones that I had 3 of.
I yanked her out of the half gallon milk jug and put it directly into an old swimming pool skimmer screen!!! :weed:
Right into the flower room it went!
This was 11/29 at 3.5 inches..

12/11 at 5 inches..

Just lost a whole wall of text... :wall: Why RIU Why???

I have been cloning for almost a year with pretty good results. Potting soil or Jiffy pucks have been my go-to media.... I tried a small bubble cloner I made but it was just to small and had terrible ph swings so I gave up on that.

I had an old 48 quart cooler laying around and decided to use it.

On 12/04 I checked the rez and the temp was 37.5 degrees. I had forgot to plug the heater back in after using the vacuum.

Here is a shot of the inside of the cooler/cloner. I use a pool filter before the 380 gph pump to prevent plugging. There is a 130 gph pump with a riser in the bottom. The riser has 6 holes drilled in it for the water to come out of and runs 24 hrs.

For the 380 gph timer I did the Ol modified timer trick. I used an old 30 minute increment timer I had laying around and pulled it apart. Removed a gear, glued two gears together and put it back together.

20131210_084717.jpg
20131210_091323.jpg

Now the timer goes as low as 51 seconds per click.

Here are the ones getting sprayed with Colloidal Silver. Day 5 of spraying and day 3 of 12/12. The yellow you see is from the HPS in the next room.

I was only in the room for a second or two, LOL, and when I came out there was a package on the front step.

The Warranty Department was on it and I had a replacement in 8 days from the day I shipped the defective one to them.
