    Led guys chime in

gavita 1700e, HLG scorpion second version but you might have to add heat. I've tested out the MH and SF and not confident with some of those builds. We also have something for you as well if you want something with more features than these lights and a but lighter on the wallet. DM if your...

HPS vs. LED Grow Lights — Which is Better for Growing Weed?

We've found barred LEDs with enough power add enough coverage and heat to maintain enough heat downwards towards the leaves to keep them warm enough for appropriate transpiration. No need to bring back the HPS. Tunable spectrums are also highly desirable to customize your own spectrums based on...

    Adjust a wing hellion led

I keep harping at people to stop looking at wattage, its just an indication of power. Figure out how many plants you're gonna have in the tent (I'm figuring 24-30) then how much PAR(in PPFD) you want to delivery to them during late veg and flower. Without any supplemental C02 and plant...

    LED controller question

If you have a PAR meter adjusting in smaller intervals allows you to dial in the amount of PAR required or needed for your plant(s). 1% is a bit extreme but for people who want to be super efficient with their light delivery this is helpful. You can keep notes and data

    Growers LED choice ?

Do you want something with all the bells and whistles? There are a few that have automated controllers, 0-100% dimmable and tunable spectrums.

    Growers LED choice ?

HLG scorpions are essentially the same light with a decent reputation. Get the newest version. I just don't like exposed drivers on these quantum boards

400 w led is enough for 4 plants?

Where are the PPF/PPFD numbers?? Wattage is a great indication of power but if the efficiency of the components are crap you could really just be wasting electricity. For LEDs with the new tech they have today efficiency that is 2.6 umol/J is what you want to aim for. PAR is the real number you...

    LED for 4x4

To answer that question, other than ebb and flow are u using a 4x4 tent, you gonna add Co2? What's your budget. We started in our shops with LEDS 2-3 years ago and while there was some learning curve we've got them dialed in now. You will never look back.

Advise needed on 10 bar led

So never heard of this light but it boasts some big specs. Its def on the mid-high end of scale. My first set of cautions would be that I see no electrical certifications which a light this high end should have and also its not DLC listed. Having a DLC listing is huge so you can compare...

    New LED lights stretching

Just saw the post, Is this a generic China light or is this from a decent company that at least has its DLC listed? The problem when you don't have a PAR meter or spectrometer trying to verify a lights output with the company's own numbers becomes a challenge. Companies that don't have third...

    LED Watts for 3x3?

Honestly you want to look at your area, how many plants you want to cover then figure out how much PAR you want to deliver to the plants. Watts don't mean anything if the efficiency of your drivers and diodes are crap, that just means you are wasting power. How many plants are you planning to...

    Led guys chime in

to verify what these guys are advertising always check out the information on their DLC certification listing. If they are within 5% of their listing they're numbers should be trusted if they go beyond that it might be a bit suspect. We have something new that might fit your needs especially if...

    Shop leds?

It's really not about lumens/lux anymore. The better gauge is Photosynthetically Active Radiation(PAR). Lumens/lux only tell you how bright something is. PAR will tell you how much photons or radiation you have available to drive photosynthesis.

    LED vs "BULB"

Great discussion folks, most of you have highlighted the issue with LEDs when you first switch over! When we first started to dive into LEDs in our grows 2-3 years ago, we noticed they weren't doing as well as HPS and HID. I was convinced LEDs would be better and then thought LEDs were a scam...
