That's what dimming is for. Nothing beats the height of a QB. Don't get much thinner than 2-4mm's. That's maximum height advantage right there. Dim down if they're having any issues with being too close. It'd take 3-4x the wattage in 4' fluoros to match newer QBs.

That's be because you didn't reduce the diameter at every branching off the PVC manifold. Supposed to use 3/4" and reduce to 1/2" at every connect ton from bucket to PVC Manifold.
