Opinions on the spider farmer SF2000

I’m honestly surprised HLG hasn’t focused more on bar lights. That being said, if somebody saw your 4x8 and said “nah I’d rather cover a 4x4 for the same price” they should be admitted for a mental eval.

Opinions on the spider farmer SF2000

HLG does make fine products. Although all the components are still sourced from overseas, so ultimately you still are funding the origins of those products. Drivers, diodes, heatsinks, wire, etc., all from China, Vietnam, Thailand and I know at the end of the day HLG doesn’t mind cutting those...

Samsung H series strips, Arrow seems to be blowing them out! what a deal!

Yeah my first strip build with the M-series turned out a bit messy wiring 10-14 strips in parallel with all the Wagos. My second build and from here on out I’ll be using terminal strips. 14AWG to the terminal strip and 18AWG to each strip. Ended up way cleaner, I definitely prefer it over tons...

Help me pick an LED for a 3x3 perpetual

No problem! Didn't want you to only be getting ~160w total from your 320w driver. The 96's are awesome lights. I'm ordering another 2 within the next few weeks.

Planning on setting up a 30x40 building

Are the lights you are getting dimmable? 1000w MH's are overkill for a 2-tier veg. A 1000w MH can cover a 5x5 for Veg so if you do use them for your veg area I would increase it to 5' wide. As for the flower area just divide the space you save from deleting the 4th row and put that into...

Help me pick an LED for a 3x3 perpetual

If you had an HLG-320H-54 driver they could be ran in parallel because that driver outputs 5.95A @ 54v. So basically each board would be receiving ~3A @ 54v when wired in parallel. Since you have the C2800 driver they need to be ran in series to split the voltage. The constant current range of...

Help me pick an LED for a 3x3 perpetual

I'm confused, you are going to attach both of the QB 96's to 3 outlet power strip and wire that to the driver output side? The QB 96's need to be wired in series with the driver you chose.

Samsung H series strips, Arrow seems to be blowing them out! what a deal!

That's unfortunate, how many watts do run per puck?

Samsung H series strips, Arrow seems to be blowing them out! what a deal!

F double row is still $23 for 2’ & $42 for 4’. They have 48 diode LM561B strips in 4000K for $1.68. https://www.arrow.com/en/products/si-b8t14156lww/samsung-electronics Kind of interested in doing a veg light with a mix of those strips and these $2 130 diode 4000K pucks...

Planning on setting up a 30x40 building

I think that’s a much better starting point. Two tiered veg is definitely doable with your ceiling height. What type of lighting are you planning on using for veg? I would consider investing in some LED’s or CMH for Veg to cut down on power/heat and allow you to place them much closer to the...

Samsung H series strips, Arrow seems to be blowing them out! what a deal!

Just a heads up that the Samsung M-series strips are back on sale for $0.69-0.83 at Arrow. Not as efficient as the H/F series as they use the LM561B diodes but they are still a good budget option for smaller/cheaper builds. They are 540-720ma @ 26v max. I’m running them soft at around...

I Need Help for Led and Hid light

3x of these would be around $450. They would total 720w and would cover your tent nicely. If that’s too much then you could just get 2x for now and cover 2/3 of your tent and add a 3rd light in the future. Kingbrite 240w

I Need Help for Led and Hid light

I’m assuming the tent is in CM, which would be about 5’x5’. For a tent that size you want 1000-1200w HID or around 750w of LED. What is your budget?

Planning on setting up a 30x40 building

Do yourself a favor and frame multiple rooms. A 10x20 for veg/moms/clones, 10x20 for drying/curing, and 2x 20x20 flower rooms running on a flipped schedule to reduce amperage and cooling requirements. I think you are way underestimating the amount of BTU’s you need. Even if you do 2 separate...

    First time SCROG. WOW!

Trichomes aren't a very definitive method of determining when to harvest. Your plants still look like they have some bulking up to do and will pack on more resin. Also, flushing isn't needed, that theory has been disproved. Don't want to starve your plants when they are bulking up the most.

    Grow Light Upgrade Assistance Request

They use the LM301B's in their most expensive lights and have already stated that they are not top bin diodes on another forum. They are rebranded china lights and are known for poor customer service. You are better off going with Meijiu or Kingbrite from Alibaba.

Mars is bottom of the barrel when it comes to LED's, one step above blurples. The QB 120's are quality top bin Samsung LM301H diodes, basically the same as Samsungs Q-series strips but in a board layout.
