    300$ light??

That's kind of what I'm saying. Trying to copy the spectrum of the sun is fine, but every time we try to match the intensity we end up with crispy plants.

    300$ light??

Where are you getting wattage info for the sun? A watt is a measure of electricity, not light. Comparing the sun to grow lights isn't really useful unless you're trying to figure out what spectrum to use, or whether to grow outdoors or indoors.

    Where to safely keep males

Depends on the airflow in your house though. We reduce humidity throughout the house by having a dehumidifier in the basement with the furnace, and have cold air returns throughout every floor. That would be pretty efficient at spreading pollen around.

    300$ light??

Yes, and it can help op weed out the lower efficiency lights to zero in on the best lights within his budget. The reason I have a problem with watts per square foot is it doesn't take spectrum into account, or active vs passive cooling. I take your point about comparing lights with similar...

    Where to safely keep males

As a direct answer to your thread title, "A friend's place". Assuming you want pollen.

    300$ light??

Look for ppfd charts, not watts per square foot.

    Prevent backyard theft

My buddy had his first outdoor plant ripped in 2019, so he put up a spotlight camera for this season. They didn't come back. Camera was pretty visible.

Seeds on buds at bottom of the plant

No way to be 100% sure, but they look just fine to me. Just give them a month to dry out, or put them in the fridge for a couple of weeks before you try to pop them. I've found seeds straight from the plant can pop, but you'll get a higher germ rate if you wait. At least with the seeds I've had.

White Widow in a tiny space

Oops. Got a little distracted yesterday. She's a week old now, and starting to grow a little faster. By the way, I finally read the stickies at the top of the Grow Journal section, feel free to comment and all that jazz.

Seeds on buds at bottom of the plant

Sorry, I should have been clear. I know his plant hermied and had nanners, my post was mostly for guys who find this thread on google, or later plants which don't hermie but still have seeds.

    Help

That looks like magnesium to me. Do you have any cal-mag or unscented Epsom salts? Start with 1/4 tsp per gallon, for Epsom. I'm not sure what the dosage rate for cal-mag would be, but that would actually be my first choice. If I remember airpots correctly you can open them up along the side...

    Transplanting after sexing-BOG Sour Strawberry

Do you top your plants? You can stick the tops in a glass of water under 12/12 and it should start showing sex.

    Help

Need pics and more details of your setup. Like lights, what nutes how often, etc. You've already mentioned coco, is that the medium in the pots? P.s. Take pics under white or natural light.

Seeds on buds at bottom of the plant

There's also the possibility that your outdoor plants can get pollinated by someone else's male. A lot of indoor growers stick males outside so they can either get pollen, or else chop it up without the risk of pollinating their indoor plants. Add to that all the new growers from the spread of...

Cheapest I would go is the Sf1000 v1, which is what I have. It was $90 USD after shipping and the riu coupon code, SFRIU. The v2 with dimmer is $160 I think. Edit: still 100w.

I personally wouldn't put it in anything larger than a 2x2 alone. Padawan is suggesting some pretty good lights there too. I would add another light, and I would personally go with something higher quality.

Not sure what light you have, so no way to know. I was mostly referring to your thought of adding another light to your setup. What light do you have?

    Re vegging

I flipped a plant early to check it's sex and then revegged it. Took a month to go back to veg, and it never did grow right. I'm not likely to ever do it again. Could have been grower error, I think "monstercropping" is flipping to flower then revegging deliberately, but I'm not sure what it's...

I did say "supposed to". I don't know how it would really do in a 3x3 all on it's own, but it would probably do quite well with the light op already has. I'm using it in a 1.5x1.5, so it's plenty for me.

Spiderfarmer sf1000 is supposed to be able to veg a 3x3, and flower a 2x2. 100w draw, quantum board style. I'm pretty happy with mine so far, and so are the other growers I've seen trying them out. I'm only on day 5 though. $150 for the model with a dimmer. This thread should help...
