    Citi Powered Armoire Conversion

It's probably best to let it evaporate, but I don't lol. Edit: I remember reading somewhere that someone didn't worry about evaporating the chlorine out of their water, they were doing hydro, said it helped keep the system slime free. If you're tap water isn't overly chlorinated I can't...

(Help) choose driver for my DIY led board.

In the interest of friendly discussion, @NoFucks2Give if parallel series strings are so bad, why do quantum boards work so well? There's no visible current limiting resistors that I can see, and it doesn't appear to be an aluminum based pcb, yes there are large heat sinks but I'll be using heat...

(Help) choose driver for my DIY led board.

@NoFucks2Give Thank you for the material and lessons! Why KiCad? It's interface is stupid complicated to me, I can't wrap my head around it. I guess on the next board I will give it a shot though. It may take me a while but I suppose with tutorials and patience I could learn to use just about...

(Help) choose driver for my DIY led board.

Too invested in this setup right now. In the future I may in fact go with 561C. Since i'm doing everything myself, I had to pay someone to design the led form factor for use in Fritzing so I could make my own layout, having 10 bare PCBS made (Gerbers submitted, no going back) the cost of...

IC Driven COB LEDs Experiences? Advise?

I got mine from "Wholesale-led" on ebay. Packaging was terrible but they appear intact. I'll test them out later, too many other projects right now.

    DIY with Quantum Boards

Hey guys, Since this thread gets lots of traffic, I need some advice. I am building some DIY boards and wanted some driver selection help. I got a thread Here but i'll summarize it. Each board has 84 LEDS. Each led is 6.3v @ 150ma 7 LEDS in series, 44.1v 12 strings total, 1800ma. 44.1v...

(Help) choose driver for my DIY led board.

Hey all! Hopefully this is the right place. I need help choosing a driver, I don't want to use a power supply and buck converter, I'd like streamlined goodness. An 84 LED panel, custom made by me. Using these LEDS: Looking at some information online, A single string of series wired LEDs, the...

    DIY with Quantum Boards

I've got a small "hobby" grade cnc, collecting dust. It works, I have made things on it, but it's only good for wood. Not rigid nor fast enough for metal, plus being that it's made out of wood... Coolant would be a no no lol. One day, A man can dream eh?

    DIY Samsung LM561C build

I think i'm gonna order my boards through DirtyPCBs as their price for 10 is less than what I could DIY for etchant/time/materials. For 73$ I get 10 boards ready to populate. thats 7.30 a board shipping included. I can't complain. As I mentioned, it's 6" x 4" (small but powerful, 80w per board)

    DIY Samsung LM561C build

As i'm doing a PCB based build, I guess rigid lol. I'll be getting individual diodes >.< Not looking forward to soldering 84 leds on a board, even though i'm using solder paste and a reflow oven it's still a pain in the ass to hand place them. Still tweaking my design so this isn't the...
