    NVHAK49s Cabinet Garden!

The plants are looking good. Nice party cups too :bigjoint:. I'm going to have to back out of the cup comp unfortunately. I don't have anywhere in my cabinet for them since my plants have filled in the space. Plus I plan on doing a pollen chucking seed run next, and don't want the cups in the...

    Drivers, drivers, drivers.

The LPC-60-1400 isn't dimmable by the way - I'm thinking that a CXB3070 running at 1.4A in a 2x2x2 space for cloning might be too much light, and might cook your clones. I'd think about running the cob softer or going with some smaller cobs or some 3 watt white LEDs or something like that.

It's not just how many cobs you use, but how hard you drive them. By running the 4 cobs soft at 700ma they'll produce less light than if you ran them harder, but you'll be able to spread the light across your plants better, giving you better coverage. I ran the numbers (hopefully I did it right...

COBs work fine in small cabinets - just run them at lower current to avoid bleaching the plants. You can check out my cabinet (linked in my signature) for an example, or NVHAK449's cabinet here: https://www.rollitup.org/t/nvhak49s-cabinet-garden.878861/. It will be trickier to do a hydro grow in...

Vero 18s, 29s and a cabinet full of stanky goodness

How are you making rosin - do you have one of those presses or are you using butane? I have some bags for collecting ice water hash that I used in the past, and will probably use them with my plant trimmings from this run, but I don't know shit about rosin or even how you smoke or vape it. I...

Did you have the far reds running full time during lights on? I was just planning to turn on the far reds for 8 minutes immediately after lights out to mimic the sunset, which is supposed to make the plants 'sleep' quicker. I've read a few threads about it, but this one has a lot of info on the...

Flower day 27: Let's get ready to rummmmblllle... In the blue corner is the 1mm long thrip - a shitty little creature intent on sucking the life out of my mj plants In the red corner is the formidable bacteria Spinosad, whose only purpose in life is the wreck the nervous system of insects. MCs Grow Chamber

I think that's correct - I haven't ordered from Kingbrite, but I'm on his mailing list that he sends out to show his inventory (his email is jl@kingbrite.cn ). You can email him what you are looking for, and he can quote you a price. You'll probably want the cob holders for the CXB3590 too - not...

If I'm reading Guod's file correctly it looks like at 12v their fan was pulling 150ma (.15 amps), which is more typical of a small CPU fan and in line with the other spec sheet I looked at. They also used some resistors to test the fan at different voltages, to test for noise and power used...

    MCs Grow Chamber

If you want an efficient setup, copying Supra is the way to go. I think the most efficient setup you can go with right now for a flower room would be CXB3590 3500k CD bin cobs run soft (less than 1amp). If lower upfront cost is more important than efficiency, you could go with Vero 29 4000k COBs...

I don't have any of those Arctic coolers, but .5A seems pretty high for a CPU fan. Is it this cooler you're using? http://www.arctic.ac/us_en/alpine-11-plus.html That one is showing .16 amps at 12v on the website spec page. You probably don't need to run them at 12v though - I think Supra...

    any guess on potential yield

How much do you think my plant will yield - here's a pic: dannyboy - there's an old growers trick that these guys haven't shared with you to keep away deer and pests. If you squat down and take a big dump right next to the base of the plant, your plant will be safe from all pests. Be sure to...

The vero 29 4000k is a pretty balanced spectrum - I don't think you'd need to add any mono LEDs to the mix, just run the Veros on their own. The only thing that might give a boost are a few deep reds (660nm), but I don't really think it's necessary. Also, if I remember correctly you're running...

I think the NPF model has an adjustment screw for current and voltage - I remember others asking about these drivers and I think they would work for a Vero 29, but don't remember the specifics on what happens when you adjust the screws. I do know when you set the current (in your case at 2.1...

I forgot to mention if you look at my avatar pic, you can see my upper cabinet has Vero 18 5000k cobs in it for veg, and the lower flower cabinet has the Vero 29 v2 3000k before i added the royal blue leds. The 3000k is pretty orange - not quite as orange as HPS but in the ball park.

There's been a lot of discussion about CRI - the general consensus is that the higher CRI cobs may have a slightly better spectrum, but give up a lot of efficiency in the process. Basically the higher CRI cobs put out less light, so it's better to go with the lower CRI cob that puts out more...

That lemon kush you chopped looked great - it looked like a shrub. Which I could grow a few of those kind of shrubs around my yard. Here's a pic of the girls with the lights on - day 22 of flower: I was slightly concerned when I added blue LEDs to my light that it might impede the stretch of...
