Since I want to drive my strips soft around 500mA I suppose it is not needed to use aluminium profiles as heatsinks. Because of this I thought to only use x4 L-channels to make the frame. Screws to secure strips. I love clean builds but using square tubes I would have to find longer screws and...

Thermal tape would be easier to manage with I think reading the thread about eb2 thermals it does seem I could be ok with a fan pointing at the strips and no aluminium profiles to mount the strips on. Like @Serva did. Atm I only have access to alu. square tubes or L shaped cause I would get...

How do you mount strips? screws only or with any thermal interface material? I saw some of you don't even use an heatsink, probably it isn't needed.

I am really limited in height and I can only fit a 3ft tent max. I still have to decide between EB strips or lm561b/c pcb from china since I am EU based, total price is similar. Probably I have to go with 12-14 (2ft) strips @0,5A max since I don't have much vertical space, I hope it is enough...
