I remembered another trick to find some black morels. If you find an area that had a forest fire or a resent cut, usually you'll find some blacks. I don't know about whites or grays in those areas.

Just about every good mushroom has a lookalike bad mushroom. Morels have an evil twin falsecap that could make people sick.A falsecap is not attached to the stem like a true morel. I would hate to see someone get sick from eating the wrong kind. these are falsecaps.
