I've never grown regs, but now have a bunch that were gifted to me. SO, can I flip them at maybe 2 weeks veg, and then flip them back to veg 2 weeks later (or whenever they show female pistils)? Downsides? Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

I've done plenty of seed grows, but this is my first time cloning. Using rapid rooters and clonex gel, in tray with humidity dome. Question: Does there have to be a cut node inside the rapid rooter? Or can the stem simply have a 45 degree cut and a little surface scraping?
