I guess it depends on what you want to do with the final product. if it's all personal then I would be looking for taste and effect. If it's a commercial operation then you need to add yield, health and finishing time
I normally work it out at 4500-5000 BTU's per 1000W and air cooled hoods need about half that. If you're happy with your setup at only 4 lights then 12000 BTU split unit will be a little more then you need but it means it won't be straining to keep things cool and will last longer.
Hi folks. Anyone tried these new products from GH? I've used Azamax during veg before when I had a few bugs and it worked pretty well but these seem to be more targeted depending on your problem. Exile also advertises it's safe to use on tobacco(except in California). I'm not saying it's...
When you have a lot of lights in a room the overlap means you can raise them higher and still get the same amount of light per square foot as less lights at a lower height. It's also because with so many lights you don't want to be moving them up and down all the time.
I used liquid koolbloom and floralicious. They both worked pretty well for me and I did increase yield over previous harvests without them but the problem is I never did side by side tests so I can't tell you it was because of the additives or because of experience.
I think your really going to struggle to get that information. It costs a ton of cash to get all the plans and documentation done so very few are going to want to then share that out for free.
Those are very large pots for pretty small plants. The problem your going to have is if you feed till you get run off it's going to take a long while for the plants to absorb all the water out of the pots as they haven't developed the necessary root mass. You should gradually increase the size...
If they're just babies like your photo then you could turn off half the light easily and you won't see much of a difference. You wouldn't need to turn on the extra lights for about three weeks.
I know a few people like to leave every third or fourth light as a MH light or use hanging vertical MH lights to suplliment their HPS lights and provide a different spectrum to try and keep the stretch down
