    Just discovered this little beetle last night. its killing my plants... it looks like it is making holes in the stalk of my plants where the branches meet the stalk... how do i kill it and save my plants if possible.

    So I had to take the ground cover off all my plants. It gets way to hot and cooks the root zone while not allowing the water to evaporate fast enough for my liking. It was an experiment that I soon realized wasn't going to work.

    So this year is under way didn't do much last year but this year I'm taking advantage of all our licenses. In total there is 2o8 plants we are allowed to grow. One of which is a field in the middle of nowhere. No power just nature and a camper!!

    It sucks but trim by hand its better. I learned its better to do a great job with less then a shitty job with way more! Quality will trump quantity any day. We spend months growing it only to neglect it at the most important time HARVEST!!!!

    Not on the island and Im not using any fences for deer just to keep my dogs out of the grow area. They chew on the cloth pots my dogs keep the animals away. No pack rat issues this year traps and more traps.
