If you are having mould issues H202 spray it on your plants. Use the food grade stuff not the 3% Its not bad for your plants and wont hurt anything but mould.

use lime in the soil and dont worry about ph. I did what you were doing for a year and then the last 2 years I used a 20-20-20 fert and just added lime to balance out the ph of the peat moss based soilless mix i was using. So dont worry about it if your on city water just make sure you leave...
