CFL's tend to be put close to plants so you may need to get a fair few for 30 plants in 1.5 liter pots(are they a foot in diameter?). See if you can get a bunch of 23W. Personally I would look at getting a couple of 600W MH/ some LED's or a couple of CMH, you'll end up being a lot happier

If you're not in KZN you may find low humidity is also a problem. SA can be quite dry for a lot of the year

SOG is always about the shortest possible veg time. I would probably flip them at 5-7 days in the future

Don't over water especially when plants are young. The roots will grow out to find more water. I like to keep my medium wet at the bottom and let the top dry out a little bit.

I have looked at and I've seen the ideal VPD but it's really tough for me to reach. We have very warm days(at the moment) and cool nights so we find we get a ton of condensation if we keep the humidity too high. I also want to avoid ideal conditions for mold which can be a problem where we are.

Whole setup or just the ballast?

I'm currently running my CO2 at 1200ppm, my temps at about 78F and humidity at 55%. Works a treat

My guess is they'll be about R6000-R7000 for the complete setup with everything you need. That would be a good price I think as most of the hydro shops sell rubbish for that price in Jozi and CT. Seen rubbish 1000W ballasts selling for R4000+ and then you still need a hood and bulb

What was your cloning process? Did you use a cloning liquid/gel, what did you clone them in and what were the environmental conditions the clones were kept in?

Looks like you transplanted them a little early. Transplanting stresses plants out so you want them to have good root growth and be healthy before you do.

As others have said it will take a few days of screwing up your cycle to cause any real harm to your plants unless they are already stressed out.
